Coffee was only luke warm when served. Scrambled eggs a bit dry and no butter on toast or served separately. No option for just standard Egg Benedict

Food was amazing, easy to locate location. Would definitely recommend others to come in and try the food. It was quite busy and that may have weighed in on the staff a little but overall, their staff were still extremely polite and friendly.

Possibly the worst place I have ever been to, management had no idea what they are doing, had to wait forever for our food. And the manager Tan was the rudest person I’ve ever been in contact with

I will never go to this cafe again. I made a booking online for Mother's Day and got a confirmation of my booking prior to arriving at the cafe. When we turned up, the manager advised us there was no booking and we had to pay a deposit to secure it. Nowhere did it say that this was a requirement. I have never dealt with such an uncaring attitude and an unwillingness to help, and then tried to tell other customers that he "didn't know what we were on about". He was rude, a liar and completely unsympathetic to our situation, nor did he care that their 3rd party booking engine didn't advise us to make a deposit. Fortunately, the competing Cafe 57 around the corner were more than happy to accommodate us and the food and service there is far better than South Society. And their coffee is terrible.

Nice place. Had to wait for the coffee for half hour. Food was nice. Hash brown was $4 on the menu but charged me $4.50 when I paid at the counter. There was no feta on Avo feta smash. Been there twice. Like it, spacious, not crowded and good food but could be improved.

A decent restaurant, and prices are slightly cheaper compared to Cafe 57 just around the corner. I ordered the lamb souvlaki, and while the presentation was a bit off-putting, the lamb itself was actually great - really hot, tender and juicy. I did feel the portion size was a bit on the small size though, but it wasn't overly small. The service was pretty good, the staff were attentive and friendly to talk to as well.

Food and drinks was so good. Had the Florentine Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was the best I've ever had! Definitely coming back and recommending to all my family and friends!

Arrived at the cafe with a booking for brunch and were escorted to a table without checking the booking. After ordering three meals we were told they could only supply one of the meals. We asked what was available and the waiter showed us a piece of paper with notes of what wasn't available. The meals were below average. Very disappointing experience.

Dishes were Asian fused but flavours were a little overpowering for my tastes. Service was good and coffee was great!

We ordered a chicken and avocado roll. There was literally no sauce inside, it was incredibly dry so we had to ask for aoli. It was also a small portion size. An incredibly underwhelming experience. Coffee and service was good however I wouldnt come back

Unfortunately our 2nd experience at South Society was memorable but in the wrong way. Within 10 minutes of ordering one of us had received our meal and the other 2 hadn't. After 1/2 hour we still had not received the other 2 meals and asked the waiter where they were, they were ready made sandwiches/rolls and only needed toasting. After checking the waiter advised the rolls were still in the toaster. We then asked the waiter where the juice was that one of us had ordered, he went away to check and came back with it, you could see that the juice had separated so we asked the waiter if it had just been made and his reply was that it was still cold, all our juices are made fresh, but clearly this juice had been sitting around otherwise it wouldn't have separated. We finally received the other 2 meals 40 minutes after ordering, the chicken and avocado roll was greasy on the outside and the other sandwich was not what was ordered. Next time we're trying somewhere else.

We go to South Society often, it's a casual, low key, feel good cafe and our go to place for a good brekky or lunch. Great coffee, friendly staff and great food, it's no wonder we keep going back.

Not a great iced filter coffee (watery and flavourless) but also not sure if it's just me. Lady behind counter was very adamant that everyone loves the coffee and she was very defensive. Maybe somehow I got a bad cup. I was just being honest after being asked how the coffee was though... why ask if the only acceptable response is: "I love it!" No hard feelings but definitely lowered my respect for management. Have had food here in the past - delicious.

Food was great and they were able to accommodate our difficult dietary requirements. Our waiter was new and still learning the ropes and did a good job.

This cafe always has a great atmosphere and there was plenty of space for our pram today. Food wise- The Parma was great. Had an unusual addition of roasted capsicum atop the salad which was unnecessary. However their salt and pepper calamari - I wouldn’t order again. It was advertised as coming with an Asian slaw. Previously this has been flavoursome, and an abundance of fresh herbs and Asian vegetables. This had red cabbage, red onion and a small amount of carrot. Although the calamari was tasty and well cooked I left feeling underwhelmed and hungry.
