It was a rainy day, but we were cosy sitting outside under cover and throughly enjoyed the view. And then the lunch came. What a steak! Can’t wait to go again!

Fantastic riverside dining. Perfect for any occasion. The steaks are fantastic and the lunch menu is such great value. The staff are very accommodation. It's my new regular.

This restaurant was very welcoming. Fast efficient service, we had the croquettes and beef skewers to start which were delicious, then the lamb rump and ravioli for mains, ravioli was great but the lamb was a little over cooked

The food was really delicious but the wait time was minus point. We waited for 50 mins after order. I read some bad reviews about wait time before visit , so we already kind of knew so it was not a big deal. With the deal, it's worth to visit again.

I actually went to the restaurant for lunch on 2 consecutive Sundays, and both occasiona found that there was much room for improvement in customer service. The first time, I went with 2 of my colleagues and all 3 of us felt there was no warmth in welcoming customers, no smiles etc. After the lunch, when the bill was brought to us, we noticed the 50% off was not applied for the fork promotion which we had booked through. Thought it was just a mistake. Anyways, since we really enjoyed the seafood platter, I decided to go back next Sunday with the family. This time again, I had to ask for the 50% off on food, as the initial bill charged us the full amount once again, and after asking for it, this time we were told the promotion applied to the seafood platter although it had been included in the promotion just the previous Sunday. The manager told me apparently she had mentioned it when I ordered, however for both people sitting at the table to not hear it at all, it just seemed weird to me. Also, when I asked how come the rules had changed in a week, she said apparently they had lots of new staff who had probably charged us incorrectly the previous week. Fair enough, but I do feel that had it been any other restaurant, there would have been much more warmth and sincerity in these conversations whereas this lady came across quite abrupt and dismissive. So although the food was enjoyable, I did leave the restaurant with a bitter taste in my mouth and would rather never go back there again.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We both ordered scotch fillet 300g steak. My husbands was 'quite ok' but mine was very grissly. Very disapointing for our special night.

My friend and I came here on Sunday with TheFork promotion which was a very good deal. It is the first time we had visited this restaurant. Its conveniently located along South Wharf Promenade next to DFO. It was a very humid day and we were seated inside just near the front. The folding doors were open which meant we could feel the heat from outside. The indoor air conditioning wasn't cool enough as the doors were open which was disappointing and given that they have an open kitchen the additional heat didn't help. I ordered the Smokey BBQ Chicken. The portion was very generous which was a nice surprise but some parts of the chicken pieces were under-cooked, with blood still oozing out so wasnt able to fully enjoy our eat all of the meat. I was left rather unsatisfied. The beetroot salad was well presented on teh plate however the beetroot didn't seem very fresh. My friend ordered the Pan seared salmon which she enjoyed very much. The avocado, mango and watercress salad complemented well. We didnt want to stay any longer than we had to because it was a bit unpleasant sitting in such humid heat conditions and decided to go elsewhere for dessert.

Have regularly gone to the Meat Market and never disappointed and this was another good night of food and socialising in a casual setting. And to top it off, the Fork 50% off deal was a winner this time around but we would have gone there anyway. Enjoy a night there if you’re a meat person

Nice setting and a really good menu couldn't make up for low quality food and service delivered by some very nice but quite poorly skilled wait staff who are mostly backpackers. We had booked using a 50% food discount which helped to lesson the pain. Luckily it was lunch with my wife and parents so we kicked back and just enjoyed each other's company and the sunny afternoon instead. It's a tourist honeypot along south warf but if you do your homework you can find a great place to spend your hard earned, just not at this place.

Food average. Ordered tomahawk steak tasted like it was marinated in dish sauce. Cooked well but fish sauce why? Ribs were nice.

A very good restaurant in this area; reliable quality, friendly service and lovely setting by the Yarra. In addition to the eye fillet steak and half chicken we enjoyed, don't miss out on their potato salad and the tiramisu is the best we've had for a very long time. Highly recommended eatery.

Pork ribs had an unsually strong porky smell, pork ribs not the most tender either. Grain fed ribeye was very good. Baby snapper was nicely crisply grill, soft n moist inside...super fresh. Would go back.

Really enjoyable experience! The food was amazing, the steaks were as we asked for, medium rare, and the staff were very accommodating and hospitable! The waitress there was lovely and constantly checked up to ensure we were happy. I loved how the meat had an aromatic smoky flavour to it! It was my dads birthday and he really enjoyed it - will be back again!
