Beautiful view, excellent service, well prepared locally sourced meals. Clonakilla was on the wine list: a plus. Part of the Southern across club, so take advantage of the member discount!
Kim is a wonderful hostess and always makes a visit more enjoyable. The views and service at the Yacht Club always makes it a great venue to visit. We enjoy the fresh south coast fish offerings.
Excellent food beautiful surroundings and staff very attentive Knowledgeable staff who made suggestions for the wine with the main course Lovely evening out will definitely visit again soon Reasonably priced too
I was pleased with the staff, the food presentation and the service. I thought the entree menu was limited and overpriced. I like a bill to be presented at the table and then one can pay at the front counter. I did not receive an itemized bill but rather a total and this is not a good practice.
Expensive poor quality food, I'll never return,
The Yacht Club is great. Views are lovely, service is excellent and food is fantastic. Menu is kept fairly small to enable top effort with what has been ordered. Wine list is good and not overpriced. We spent a very pleasant 3 hours there. Thanks!
The food was good and it was lovely to have a waitress that was professional and attentive without being intrusive. The service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
The SCYC restaurant is a great venue for dinner, the meals were very good, but our waitress was very inattentive. Our side dishes were forgotten and arrived half way through eating our mains. As a gesture of goodwill the bill was reduced by the cost of the sides.
This is an excellent venue with superb views of Lake Burley Griffin. We were extremely well looked after, and the standard of catering and presentation are both unifpormly outstanding. It certainly provides value of money and very professional service.
We use this restaurant a few times per year and it is a lovely place to eat. On this night there were 7 of us booked for seven pm, the food was excellent and decor and environment lovely. However on arrival we were left standing at the desk whilst the head waiter dealt with a problem with another customer. After nearly 10 minutes he then turned his back and walked away from us. A waitress came finally. We then waited at least 20 minutes when I had to wave to a waiter to get water and a menu. When we finished our main course and asked for the dessert menu we were told that the kitchen closed at nine pm and we were unable to have dessert. Considering we were not warned and the long waits, we were not happy. The waiter was polite as was the manager but nothing was done or even an offer of any compensation. This was a Saturday night a week before Christmas! Not impressed!
From the moment we walked into the club we were looked after. Could not fault the service and the food. We were there as a family for a 90th birthday for a family friend.
Food, service and setting excellent. It was, however, cold... and we commented on this to our waiter on arrival, and asked if he could turn down the air con. He happily obliged.
We arrived on time and were seated after another couple ahead of us, and from there it was all downhill. Two tables of people were seated after us and got their water and drinks before we even had water. After about 25mins hubby called over a waiter to take our order. Drinks arrived (we ordered large wine), however the 2 glasses were vastly different in the amount of wine poured. Next came the bread - ok, but since when does a waiter ask "how was the bread" - it's only bread not a meal! Meals were delivered and we finished then left.Have been to the Yacht Club restaurant a number of times over the years, but not again in a hurry, this was definitely not up to standard. Yes they were busy, but should have put on more staff knowing there was a wedding party as well.
Nice restaurant with a great view over the Lake. Meals were good and ample. Prices were reasonable. Also an enjoyable walk to get there, (if the weather is good).
We had a time constraint and one of the four main dishes was only delivered to the table 10 minutes prior to out departure and 20 minutes after the other three people were served.
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the yacht club. The food was good, the wine list reasonably priced. The service was excellent, friendly, attentive and responsive.
The food was excellent and our waitress very obliging. However, when I asked for a slight variation in my menu main course, she checked with the chef and he said he couldn't do it. The setting at the Yacht club is beautiful but service seemed to us to be a bit slow. However, I would recommend it to people who have time to enjoy a quality meal, with easy, free parking, in a scenic location.
Wonderful food, great views, fantastic service.
W enjoyed the live music.
Good food for a family occasion. Great steak... Service was good in nice setting.......................................................
