Cute little restaurant with delicious pizza and wine. However, music is too loud and sound of other diners are deafening that we ourselves had to speak louder than usual. If noise is not a problem, then it's a great place to have some good pizzas!
Fantastic pizza and great service. This place is great value and has all the attributes. Food, wine, selection and service. I rarely give 5/5. I rated this restaurant 5/5 on all categories.
Possibly the best pizza I have ever eaten (including during visits to Italy, and also France which has awesome pizzas. Gnocchi and tiramisu were also delicious. Friendly, efficient service, loved everything about our meal. Totally recommend.
The atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The pizza is delicious, perfect bases and pretty delicious toppings. Skip the garlic bread, it’s disappointing compared to their amazing sourdough pizza bases (frozen supermarket style). We also tried the Nutella pizza, which could have been amazing but it actually had way too much Nutella on it (I can’t believe I’m even saying that, because - Nutella) but it was drowned in it. We had a great time celebrating our 4 year anniversary and will be back.
Great location to theatre. Cute hidden space. Loved the pizza choices. Gnocchi was delicious too. Some more white wine offering by the glass would be welcomed.
Really good customer service, super patient as I let them know a friend was going to be pretty late and let us wait without making us feel rushed. The food was great as always. Great date spot although I went with friends as it is quite intimate, however, I found the music to be a touch too loud.
Always great food that is delivered quickly as well as a very chilled atmosphere which is perfect for a lunch-time catch-up. Especially good if you have limited time.
The greatest pizza in Melbourne. An absolute gem on the tastebuds, very cool almost NY jazz feel, and very helpful service. Always a favourite to show visitors to Melbourne.
The place was great!
Delicious food and kind staff
It’s way too loud in the restaurant (the music), service was quite unfriendly but the biggest disappointment was the Salsiccia pizza - it was so bland and tasteless it’s probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had.
Laidback but still with an attentive service SPQR is refreshingly honest, appealing and great fun... best pie in Melbourne
Bloody beautiful authentic wood fired pizza! I’ve come from Bendigo 3 times just to eat this pizza.
Great pizzas and friendly service. Good options on the menu for vegetarians.
Consistently good service and pizza. Awesome value. Vegan options!
Amazing pizzas and great service. Thank you SPQR
Great pizza, as it should be for $25+. They have a great wine list.
I was met at the door by a cheery staff member who was happy to accommodate my request to sit somewhere quieter due to mild hearing impairment. This is always appreciated!
Great range of delicious pizzas and friendly service.
Excellent pizza, decent service. Thanks very much!

Pizza in 60 seconds
This spot is the place to go when you have pizza cravings. Located in the Melbourne CBD, SPQR Pizzeria has won over locals (and us). With small tables and wooden chairs, this spot is perfect to take a date (and hope they don’t eat all your pizza)!
The menu consists mostly of wood fire pizza, but they do have antipasti, salads and some mouth watering desserts. We guarantee you’ll be wanting to try the Calabrese and the Cotto Pizzas. Get it by the slice or the wheel, either way, you’ll be back wanting more. No pizza is complete without a glass of wine or kicking it back with a beer, so be sure to check out the menu.
