Attentive and personable wait staff. Very welcoming. Atmospheric decor; good music soundtrack played. And Delicious food - it was a great location for three friends to catch up.
Not consistent with the rating on TripAdvisor. Decor and service stuck in a time warp.
Very good food, in fact a little bit different to your ordinary Thai restaurant. Nice ambience and good service. Highly recommended.
Our favourite Thai restaurant- never disappoints
Nice fresh food.
Great food and very welcoming. They even barrack for the right afl team so could share our pain!!!
Great little Thai restaurant a frequent customer there. Food is really nice. Service is ok just a little more attention to tables would make it totally spot on. Generally good
This was one of my worst experiences in a restaurant recently The meal was served after an hour and I had to get it s a take away . The place was sparsely occupied so the staff wasn’t busy.
Food was excellent. We will be back!
Great food. And friendly staff. The pad Thai and red duck curry are stand out dishes. And the prawn crackers are delicious!! Celebrated my partners birthday here and had a great night. Would highly recommend. Will be back!
very good food quality and serving size...flavours were enticing and it's clear being in the business for over.25 years they know how to get it right. good choices on the menu with house specialities and attentive service....internally a great thai atmosphere....a place to return to in this northcote ate growing rapidly with restaurants everywhere but this one is a must
Lovely night. Although there was no Dimmi promised bonus bottle of wine forthcoming the night was lovely anyway
Quality food in a pleasant and relaxing environment
Great food!! Will be back!
One of the best Thai in Melbourne
Great food and service. Lovely restaurant highly recommend it
The food was tasty.
A local gem but a little pricy for the offering.
Great service and food.
Local Thai restaurant with friendly service, consistent flavours and a relaxed atmosphere.
490 High St, 3070, Northcote, Australia
Stranger than paradise Take a peek through the window. Go on, we know you want to. The deep red restaurant inside glows with warm golden lamps and glittering statues. The Sukhothai franchise got so popular they had to open up shop in Northcote – and won’t the boho crowd of High Street love this. Fresh contemporary Thai food is all the rage south of the equator at the moment, so Sukhothai have a definite demand to fill. The food is very reasonably priced, making this place just as popular with young ’uns as it is with the mature crowd. Whatever you feel like, they’ve got it, from traditional favourites like Pad Thai to soups, stir fries and curries. A Sukhothai banquet covers the best of these items and more. The definite highlight for us was the chef’s recommendation ’Sukhothai Paradise’ (yellow curry with pineapple, grapes, dried coconut, sultanas and your choice of meat) a delightfully strange and tangy dish. You’ve got to try it. So stop window shopping and book your table, you’re gonna love it. Best dish: Sukhothai Paradise
