We always know we will get fabulous food here. And it didn't disappoint us this visit! Everything is so delicious, the flavours are amazing! Lulu was fabulous, as was the manager who served us but didn't get his name. The only negative we could comment on was the bar staff would throw an empty glass bottle in the bin from across the other side of the bar every few minutes and that noise was annoying...it hit the cringe spot! Other than that, its fantastic and highly recommend!

Plats raffinés et très goûteux! Serveurs disponibles et agréables malgré la foule dans le restaurant. Très bonne expérience.

Incredible food - fave Japanese in Sydney!

Great Japanese inspired shared plate type food with a lovely atmosphere. Pity about getting the table opposite the toilets though, despite booking well in advance.

About Sunset Sabi

Sushi bar/cocktail bar/funky kitchen “Hey Sam, how are you?”. “Been for a surf today?” “How’s that stubborn new client of yours going?"... This is what you’ll hear when you walk into Sunset Sabi in Manly, a comfortable Japanese Izakaya restaurant where you can drop in, feel relaxed, have a chat, and be served great quality food. At Sunset Sabi the Modern Japanese fare is served up in creative new ways, with unexpected flavour combinations that are clean, fresh, healthy and tasty. Take for example the seared tuna (sashimi style) with garlic chips, seeded mustard, bit-a-erb and ponzu, or the ‘la taco’ with sweet bbq beef or pickled shiitake mushrooms, ‘house of sabi ponzu kimchi’, daikon, ginger, sabi kewpie, sriracha, coriander and sesames - or the edamame and wasabi hummus with sweet potato chips - wow! This place is fresh, funky and makes Japanese all the more fun! The fit out is opposite to the fresh, clean nature of the food but it works. You'll find clean and minimal textures mixed in with raw, organic timbers and soft blue furnishings. We like you a lot Sunset Sabi. You'll see our faces a lot. Best dish: la taco - x sweet bbq beef or pickled shiitake mushrooms, 'house of sabi ponzu kimchi', daikon, ginger sabi kewpie, sriracha, coriander, sesames.
