Had two of the maple tofu jaffles and the Chinese mille feuille. The jaffles were delicious if not a little small. It was just a quick lunch but after spending $22 I was still ravenous. The guy serving me was a good laugh, only complaint is portion sizes, because I could put away 6 of those jaffles easily.

We love Super Ling. The food was delicious, the wait staff were also very nice although the service was a little slower than I would have liked. What I didn't like was eating from the communal table as there were 3 of us and we had booked. It became difficult for the 3 of us to have a conversation with each other as we were in such close proximity with other diners and all we could hear was what they were talking about. Next time, I will ask to be seated at our own table! Apart from that we had a good night!

Loved every dish. My late-grandmother was Hakka and each dish tasted like how she used to make them. Now that I've been to Super Ling, it would be hard go elsewhere for Chinese. I only wish I live closer...

Really delicious and not your run of the mill food. The steamed barramundi and the black rice are my favourite dishes here. Love this place. Wish it stayed open later, and that the wine by the glass was a more generous pour.

Always amazing food. The barramundi collars are EXCEPTIONAL. Only minor point is the menu could do with some regular specials. But DONT remove the barramundi collars

Limited but well executed lunch menu - especially the jaffles. Fascinating wine list - leans towards natural styles that actually work better with the food than the wine list at The Lincoln does with its pub menu.

About the restaurant

There’s plenty of comfort factor at Super Ling, with $12 handmade noodles at lunch (the silky ribbons lubricated in deliciously indulgent chicken fat) and a dinner menu serving familiar Chinese flavours in playful ways (the jaffle with mapo tofu is a must-try, as is the intensely flavoured pepper beef tartare topped with potent glowing green spring onion aioli and served with ethereal, voluminous rice crackers).

With a razor-sharp drinks list and warm service, the small but mighty 30-seater, replete with vintage Bruce Lee posters, zig-zag terrazzo tables and hanging pendants, will serve you some of the most tasty Chinese food you've had in years.
