Loved it as I'm from Melbourne and just knew there was Melbourne influence.
Fabulous food, wonderful service - went above and beyond when a major storm hit and made sure we were all well looked after and out of the rain! Will definitely return ! The Christmas bonbons were a hit too!
The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Two things let this restaurant down: 1. The seating is primarily alfresco and being on a busy corner it does get very noisy with traffic. 2. Their wine list is very expensive with not many options for a mid-prices bottle of wine except for their “on-tap” option which was mediocre at best.
Although we enjoyed the Vegetarian food. We found it very starchy and fairly heavy. If the chefs would review the menu from an actual Veg/vegan restaurant i.e. SAMADI in Camden they would understand what I mean. NO OFFENCE meant by this comment. JUST trying to be objective. OVERALL STILL HAPPY Tibor and Nora
Food was amazing . Could benefit from a few more choices. However for prices charged service could be better .
First time at this restaurant, for our group of 6....a fairly busy night....staff initially under the pump....but drinks and food started to come quickly....and it was the food that impressed, tasty, half clever and well presented....a slight Spanish feel to the menu....we all left impressed and will be back.
Food was great... but service was terrible. Almost laughable
I thought given the price of the mains that this should be a good restaurant. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The food was very average, meat overdone (even though we requested medium/rare), the risotto was gluggy! I ordered the chocolate brownie for dessert and it was ice cold, I would have expected it to be warm at least. For the price we paid per person I will not be back and will not recommend
Noisy setting. Drinks very expensive. Small meals. Little variety.
Sadly this new venue for Camden is a big miss... The menu tries too hard & the prices are too high for what you get. What I ordered was a essentially a chicken salad but the chicken had a weird consistency & flavour, the Parmesan chips on top were chewy & the rest was just a big bowl of leaves, I didn’t eat much of it after tasting the elements. The sliders were a little better & nice to see a mix of 4 but they must have used the same chicken as the salad & the 2 of our party who ordered did not eat the chicken slider after tasting it. I watched a lot of people read the menu & move on whilst we were there, it is limited, the dishes sound too complicated & too expensive for the area & setting. The staff try hard but really miss the mark when it comes to service & knowledge of the dishes which really comes down to poor training & not their fault as they were very pleasant, The hot pink & bright aqua decor are just weird looking, the bench seats are too high for the tables, the menus fell apart in our hands & the umbrellas are not adequate for the tables out the front, people had to move out of the sun even as far as the bench seats closer to the doors. I don’t think we will be back for another try unless the menu changes dramatically & sadly would not recommend.
Couldn’t fault the food, it was made to perfection. The service was excellent and hospitable.
would like to see more vegetarian meals on the menu or maybe a menu change every so often. However after chatting to some of the owners, they were very forthcoming in their attitude . Unfortunately its a very cramped seating arrangement. If the music where any louder it would make it hard to have a conversation. So far so good. Nice addition to CAMDEN's Dining experiences
When you’re paying those prices, you expect experienced wait staff. My Duck breast was not rendered enough, carrots were under done and no seasoning. The side of potatoes were also a bit flavorless. The decor was perfect though.
Great food, staff mean well but organisation needs work
Upon arriving, we settled in to wobbly tables which the friendly staff had adjusted as soon as they could! The ambience was great at sunset with tunes kicking in and really giving the place a whole new vibe- almost perfectly matched to our summery cocktails, yum! our group of 7 (including kids) shared their meat and seafood grazing plates which were generous and delicious! Whilst waiting on our mains the on- tap wine was definitely a win ( my fav being the sav blanc)! Mains arrived and Can I just say?- Oh em gee! The 14 hour short rib was the table favourite with everyone nodding in agreement after each bite. The kids started to get a little cray-cray so we made our way out before other diners had a chance to stare. We will definitely be back (hopefully very soon) for a taste of their tempting desserts.
