Lovely friendly restaurant in the back streets. Great atmosphere, good food and very friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Our last evening in Lisbon, and limited by a one-day taxi strike, we wanted a dinner from some place small and Portuguese within walking distance. Inquiries and a bit of on-line research led us to the Taberna Santa Marta. What a happy choice! We had five different main courses among our group, ranging from tuna to pork cheeks. All were very pleasantly presented, and excellent. Their chocolate mouse is the "best ever", in the opinion of my wife, who is not easily won over by chocolate deserts. Prices are moderate; value-to-price ratio high. We will return....
