Fabulous
First time here and pleasantly surprised. Simon was a great host providing friendly and helpful service throughout the whole evening (the other members of the team were great as well). The food was tastier than we’ve had elsewhere at a much higher price. Will be back.
Food had flavoursome taste and good portion. Service was outstanding. Only minor thing that could be improved would be the interior design and structure. When you enter, you can smell the bathroom and some seats are directly next to the stairs down to the bathroom, which is not ideal when you are eating.
Great food. Entrees were much better than the mains. Ambience could be better, was a bit dark. Service was fantastic. Sarthak was very helpful.
Fabulous night! Wonderful welcome! Exceptional service! Excellent mixed entree with the best salad! Delicious lamb Rogan josh! Fluffiest basmati rice! Garlic Naan bread was crisp, garlicky and delicious! Thanks again for a fabulous dinner! Best Indian restaurant in Sydney!
We ordered two main vegetarian dishes. Both of them are very different and they meant to taste different. This restaurant has one set gravy that he use in all the dishes. The only difference in two dishes was the amount of veggies. One dish got extra 5 pieces of cut capsicum. We booked using Fork offer and the owner was not ready to give us the agreed discount while making a booking. We need to convince him several times for getting the discount. We went their to celebrate a birthday and this totally spoiled our celebration. We don’t want to visit this place again. Not recommended.
Brilliant as always! Simon is always friendly and welcoming. Best Naan bread ever!
We have eaten a few times at Tandoori Palace and have taken various members of our family. We always enjoy our experience there because the food is tasty and fresh and the wait staff are very polite and pleasant. Prices are on the high side. We spent $80 on food for 3 people, with a 40% discount, so without the discount it would have cost us $112 from the menu prices which would work out to roughly $38 per person - slightly on the high side for an average standard restaurant. But like I said, the food is tasty and fresh and we will go back again for sure,
Good ambiance, a little dark inside but the food was delicious. It was good value for money with the discount. I think its a bit expensive without the discount.
Food was delicious, but dishes could be a little larger. The service was fantastic. Chassi (probably spelled wrong) was attentive and had a great sense of humour. Not our first time here and will definitely be back.
I was craving Indian and this place was great! The food and drinks were delicious and super well priced. The service was great, would highly recommend!
Simon our waiter is very helpful and friendly, foods are really nice, must try the samosa and chicken tikka, the garlic cheese naan very tasty too. would definitely return next time.
What a lovely dinner - thank you so much! The food was delicious, the welcome was super warm, the service was unbelievably excellent and the whole evening was fantastic! The mixed entree is great, the chicken madras even better, basmati rice fluffy and the garlic naan bread golden, crisp and tasty! Wow! Thanks again!
The staff were very nice and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and came out quickly. Highly recommend the lamb pasanda and the prawn saag.
Great food and attentive service.
Amazing food and very good service. Would definitely go back.
Thank you once again for a most delightful and enjoyable evening! The mixed entree is spectacular, the lamb Rogan Josh was sublime and the garlic naan bread was out of this world! Wonderful food, wonderful hospitality, wonderful experience! Thank you so much!
The entree was amazing definitely thought it was a great start to our meal. However the mains really disappointed our expectations. The butter chicken had leftover meat from the lamb kofta in it. Although there is great value for 40% off it seems the quality was reduced in accordance as well.
If I could give 15/10 as a score it would be more accurate! Tandoori Palace is the best Indian Restaurant in Sydney and the food is consistently sensational! The mixed entree is a wonderful start to an entire Indian feast to wow your every sense! The lamb Rogan Josh is a super generous bowl of fall apart slow cooked fabulous-ness. The basmati rice is fluffy and tasty . The garlic naan bread is perfect, fresh and delicious! Thanks again for the most perfect dinner!
The food is fantastic. The flavours, quality and freshness of the food deliver every time we eat here. As always Simon and his team did a great job serving us and making us feel very welcome! Best Indian food in Sydney!
The quality of food was not up to the mark. Both biryani and chicken chilli were very different in taste then usual
86 Oxford Street, 2010, Darlinghurst (NSW), Australia
Darlinghurst, Surry Hills, Sydney City
Oxford Street regulars will no doubt be familiar with this longstanding eatery, which has been serving Darlo locals for well over a decade.
A change in ownership and a flashy face-lift, however, has seen Tandoori Palace emerge as a mere shadow of its former self.
Today, this venue fits snugly into Oxford Street’s vibrant scene, offering delicious Indian fare with a delightful difference. Each dish is chosen to give diners an innovate taste of India, unlike anything experienced at Sydney’s other curry houses.
Those looking for a few laughs with their curry should head downstairs where karaoke and a dance floor await.
