The food was nice but quite expensive for the serving sizes. Although, in the end we did have plenty to eat between us. Good sharing plates.

We have been to this place on many occasions but this time it really wasn’t up to much. The service was non existent apart from when the food was being brought to the table, the food was Ok but knowhere near the standard we had come to expect.

Friendly atmosphere and service, casual dining and tasty variety of food. Accommodated additional people to our group despite little notice.

Friendly staff who quickly moved us to another table after drinks were spilt. Great variety of food and the 4 course banquet was generous in the serving sizes.

Food ok, tasty but nothing special. Had the banquet menu for convenience - portions very small. Was served a different wine year to the one on the drinks menu (2015 vs 2012 on menu), but no recompense or acknowledgement an issues when raised it. Service was ordinary (had to chase them to order more drinks).

Great food, but for me slightly over priced. Decent drinks menu too.

We had an amazing meal for 10 people and with Dimmi's special deal costs were ridiculously low! Thanks Tasca Viva for great food, great atmosphere and good service.

The service was not great. It really was a case of service 101. Buying a bottle of wine it was plonked on on the table unopened and left to the customer to pour. Had to ask for water and utensils. They need to pick up in this area but can’t take away from them that the food is fantastic.

Food good, service poor, seats a bit uncomfortable and tables a bit small for sharing plates.

Haven’t been here for a while, not as good as we remember it, noticeable differences in the standard of service and overall presentation of the restaurant. However the quaility if the food is great still.

About the restaurant

Viva l’Espana

What better way to soak up the sun at beautiful, bustling Glenelg than to relax at this beautiful Spanish eatery, Tasca Viva? This busy and colourful venue, with stylish European fittings and just as stylish award-winning bar staff, has all the traditional fare bursting with flavour that has made Spanish cuisine rightly world-famous, including jamon, paella, and beautiful crisp churros. You will need to sample their Sangria which has been dubbed as the best in Adelaide. The colourful surrounds and comforting food will make you feel cheery and festive and their group function options are known for being a great way to enjoy a night out with small or larger groups. Tasca has a fabulous cocktail list to compete with the many boutique bars popping up around the area, but is genuine enough in its Spanish flavours to make even a native feel right at home.
