Fabulous
Loved the food large servings will definitely return.
Good size portion, food taste delicious. Nice place to meet with friends.
We loved the delicious food & will definitely come back. However We were expecting a children’s menu & that wasn’t available, that would be good to know in advance.
What a gem!! Very surprised by this amazing restaurant, especially the flavour of food, Had lamb stew and lamb kebab, both really nice and render, we also order grilled chicken ( supposed to be chicken wings) it was a high light of all meal, aust try, hummus is very smooth and rich, very food consistency as well. IT was a bit quiet when we arrived, there is only few staff to look after whole restaurant, so it made a small issue which is a bit lack of customer service, but under the covid circumstances that's fair, DEFINITELY WILL VISIT again .
We will be back, great variety of dishes. Great place for a catch-up with family and friends.
Delicious food but place was definitely understaff for a Friday night.
We have been at Taste of Saffron for at least five times and will keep going back there. They have good service, reasonable prices and excellent food.
Well presented food, very authentic local eatery. Decor is nothing fancy but the food is great and very generous portions. They also have a small shop
Nothing special, won't be back
Loved the food, it was nice to eat something different. The people are amazing.
Not just another kebab shop! Huge portions of fresh, delicious food served in combinations and dishes I'd not seen before. Options for vegetarians and meat eaters at bargain prices - three people, two starters and three mains = way more fantastic food than we could eat, for $80. The setting may be basic but the magic is in the feast on offer. Highly recommended as neighbourhood gem, cheap eats and first date fun!
Had lamb blackstrap, and it was the best lamb I’ve had at a restaurant, tasty and tender. The eggplant was lovely and the saffron rice was beautifully cooked with a delicious crunchy crust. Service was friendly and super fast. Persian food is my favourite and this is my top rated restaurant now. The room can be a bit noisy with no wall coverings.
We had a lovely dinner at Taste of Saffron. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. There are so many other things on the menu that we want to try - we'll be back again for sure.
This little restaurant was very clean, but extremely basic. Just tables and chairs, with absolutely minimal decoration. Some middle-Eastern recorded music was playing. We had a tasty entree of baked eggplant dip topped with walnuts. My partner’s lamb cutlets did taste char-grilled, but were not particularly succulent or tender. My lamb/tomato/eggplant stew was also “tasty” in a savoury sense, but there were no particular seasonings or flavours that set any of our dishes apart, as “Persian”. Or even Mediterranean. The “saffron rice” only had a few grains of saffron rice on top of white rice. No flavouring in the rice either. Service was courteous, but just. We are glad we tried this restaurant, but probably would not return.
Great food and service. Its a pity that the lighting in the main dinning room is so bright - the other half that is currently not being used has much softer lighting.
I hope lots of people visit this place. Great food and customer service.
So I went back to try the lunch specials last Friday and they were so good we took the whole family there again for Sunday lunch. My okra loving sister had the okra stew and the rest of us had the lamb or chicken skewers. The lamb was lean and tender and the chicken delicately flavoured, so good in fact my hubby ordered a second skewer, It's great to be able to take the family out and enjoy lunch specials on a weekend.
It's a funny little location but inside you'll find meals with beautiful flavours and fresh ingredients. Even the bread and rice served with the meal were good. Suggest grabbing some friends so you can try all the different dishes. Hopefully we will have room for dessert next time!
Have been here many times and everytime its an amazing experience Great place for a dinner date. And don’t leave without trying their faloodeh 10/10
Pleasantly surprised with this neighbourhood gem. Good service even it was a very busy night at the restaurant. Dj was there to set the mood and table was beautifully set up. We ordered mixed grilled for 2 and another chicken dish which was tasty, The meat was slightly on the dried side, needed some yoghurt or dipping sauce will elevate the dish to the next level. However, the portion size was generous. Price was very reasonable, a good selection on the menu to suit anyone who want an authentic Iran food experience.
