9/10Was a quiet night (Covid don’t help) but this helped with service time. Food was good - had the ribs and would recommend them - but a bit of side salad would have been nice as I devoured the ribs and sprinkling of chips in 5 minutes and ended up buying some snacks on the way back to the hotel. Don’t get me wrong the food was excellent and I was hungry - but in hindsight I’d have ordered a bit more.

8/10The food served at the Bavarian is really good. Worth going with friends, family - for beer or a relaxing weekend catchup. Good to book early as it could get busy in the weekend

5.5/10Didn’t like having to order via an app. Asked for an extra drink but manager told us to use the app, so we didn’t bother buying it or the dessert. If I have to order using an app, might as well order take away. Won’t be back until we deal with a waiter or waitress.

4/10We have been to this restaurant pre-COVID and found it to be very good - that's why we went back. Thoroughly disappointed last night. The food menu has been dropped by more than half obviously due to COVID. Not really a great deal to choose from. We had to order our food through an app - not a problem usually but some of our orders had problems going through. The bar and kitchen closed at 9 so at 9.15 we were basically kicked out. We won't be back.

8.5/10Always a great place to meet up with friends for food and drinks. Service was a bit slow. There were only a handful of waitress against a number of patrons.

9.5/10The staff were super welcoming and so helpful. Would definately go back on my next trip to Sydney. Make your own salad was novel and also fantastic. Happy hour Lychee Cocktails weren't bad either!

4.5/10Disappointing visit. The staff took forever to do anything. They took a long time to take our orders, a long time to get our food to us, a long time to get our drinks to us and a long time to clear our tables. As a matter of fact, they were never cleared. No napkins were available so we had to ask, no enough cutlery on the table so we had to ask, no water for the table so we had to ask...you get the picture. Perhaps the owners/management need to employ extra staff in peak times. Lastly, we were charged a Sunday surcharge which was not outlined anywhere in the online booking process. We would have been ok with this if this was a transparent charge.

7.5/10Great food and beer. Prices are a little high and the food a little bit salty. The music was too loud when we were there, making it difficult to talk. I'd recommend sitting outside in the 'beer tent' rather than inside the restaurant. The service was generally very good although we did have to wait a little while to attract the waitress's attention in the beginning. With the 50% discount, and at happy hour, it was fantastic value. Would do it again.

8/10The location is perfect, you get by car or by public transport. The staff super friendly and nice from the beginning until the end of the dinner. The food was ok, nothing super amazing just normal but the good thing is that they have many options from salads to any proteinz

6/10Casual service (wasn't expecting anything more), dirty menus and dirty glassware wasn't a good start. Food was reasonable although a little under seasoned. Portion sizes good and enough choice for all. Wine list small but adequate.

A taste of Bavaria on the North Shore
Situated on the main restaurant strip in Chatswood, Bavarian Bier Cafe is bringing a taste of Bavaria to Sydney's North Shore. The menu pays homage to the authentic taste and cuisine of Bavaria so expect plenty of hearty grub. Some highlights include the surf clam chowder, smoked pork belly and haus-made apple strudel. The bier selection is also incredibl, there are almost too many to choose from. Partake in one of their signature ‘flights' so you can get a taste of everything! This local favourite is suitable for all occasions, appropriate for after work drinks, corporate lunches and relaxed weekend meals with family and friends.
Best dish: crispy pork knuckle with creamy mash, sauerkraut & Granny Smith apple compote.
