The vegan snitchzel was a bit overpriced, its a bit concerning consider veges are usually cheaper then meat
The staff were super welcoming and so helpful. Would definately go back on my next trip to Sydney. Make your own salad was novel and also fantastic. Happy hour Lychee Cocktails weren't bad either!
Disappointing visit. The staff took forever to do anything. They took a long time to take our orders, a long time to get our food to us, a long time to get our drinks to us and a long time to clear our tables. As a matter of fact, they were never cleared. No napkins were available so we had to ask, no enough cutlery on the table so we had to ask, no water for the table so we had to ask...you get the picture. Perhaps the owners/management need to employ extra staff in peak times. Lastly, we were charged a Sunday surcharge which was not outlined anywhere in the online booking process. We would have been ok with this if this was a transparent charge.
Great food and beer. Prices are a little high and the food a little bit salty. The music was too loud when we were there, making it difficult to talk. I'd recommend sitting outside in the 'beer tent' rather than inside the restaurant. The service was generally very good although we did have to wait a little while to attract the waitress's attention in the beginning. With the 50% discount, and at happy hour, it was fantastic value. Would do it again.
Great German beer. Great hot wings. Good schnitzel. Great happy hour specials. Service hit and miss.
No wait staff came around to clear our table. We had to put our used plates on the adjoining table. our table. We had to put the dirty dishes on the adjoining table.
Food was not bad, just not to our taste (lots of sausage options.. quite heavy!) Service could be improved. Waitress initially informed us of the happy hour specials, which was great ($5 beer). However, it was then a while before someone came to take our order. Then got the order wrong (ordered the Mac n Cheese Dog as main - they gave us Mac n Cheese entree).. So while the rest of us were eating mains, one had to wait for their meal. Afterwards, had to explain to the waitress that TheFork offer was 50% off (they gave us a bill for full price). Also annoyed that the Restaurant added a sneaky 10% surcharge to the bill as it was a Sunday - this was not mentioned on TheFork while booking (therefore could not get 50% off..)
Tasty food, suits those with a big appetite! Rather large serving sizes. Happy hour was good for $5 beers. 10% surcharge on Sundays. Overall ended up being quite costly despite the 50% off from TheFork
Service was slow, waitress initially didn’t know what the choice of accompaniments came with the sausage mains (eg for the chicken sausage main - she said it was either potato mash or pea mash or bier jus - turns out this mains comes with all three as one accompaniment option!). Also did not appreciate the extra 10% surcharge added to the bill as it was a Sunday (was not mentioned in the booking on TheFork)
The location is perfect, you get by car or by public transport. The staff super friendly and nice from the beginning until the end of the dinner. The food was ok, nothing super amazing just normal but the good thing is that they have many options from salads to any proteinz
Casual service (wasn't expecting anything more), dirty menus and dirty glassware wasn't a good start. Food was reasonable although a little under seasoned. Portion sizes good and enough choice for all. Wine list small but adequate.
This restaurant is recommended only if you have time for a leisurely dinner. Service was polite but slow. Portions are small for the price charged. We received 50% discount on the food, so it was ok this time. Food quality was average and typical chain restaurant standard.
Service was friendly, albeit, a bit slow but the cheerfulness of staff made up for it. Food portion was large, pork knuckle was a bit too salty for us. Would definitely come back
This is not the first time I visit this restaurant, As always, we have enjoyed our time here. They always have nice food and good service. The pork belly is a bit too salty this time. Other than that, it will be perfect.
Main course in large portions! The platter designed for one person could afford two to share. Schnitzel is also highly recommended. German style side dishes make the salad bowl a very good supplement.
The service was great! Very accommodating along with top schnitzels!
Overall food was good, however waited around 45 minutes for the mains to arrive which was a bit frustrating. Service was good waitresses were kind
Food is good overall, but the place was very busy and it took awhile for the food and bill to come. And when the bill came, it was one for another table.
Very bustling place especially at happy hour
They are really under staff. We sat that and wait for a while to get some attention to order. We asked for a water and it was not brought up until we had to ask again. This time the waitress didn't even let me finish with what i am about to say and just left to grab the water which is rude. In the same time i do notice they seems stress.. again i guess under staff. Food is good. I prob won't come back here.

A taste of Bavaria on the North Shore
Situated on the main restaurant strip in Chatswood, Bavarian Bier Cafe is bringing a taste of Bavaria to Sydney’s North Shore. The menu pays homage to the authentic taste and cuisine of Bavaria so expect plenty of hearty grub. Some highlights include the surf clam chowder, smoked pork belly and haus-made apple strudel. The bier selection is also incredibl, there are almost too many to choose from. Partake in one of their signature ‘flights’ so you can get a taste of everything! This local favourite is suitable for all occasions, appropriate for after work drinks, corporate lunches and relaxed weekend meals with family and friends.
Best dish: crispy pork knuckle with creamy mash, sauerkraut & Granny Smith apple compote.
