The staff member behind the bar who took our order was not especially helpful. We have never been to this restaurant before and were unaware that beverages come in different sizes. When asked what size we would like we stated we weren't sure she was quiet rude and kept rolling her eyes at us. The food was amazing but the service could certainly be improved.
Service and food was great. Girl at the counter and behind bar was very welcoming and helpful. Gentleman who served food was also very nice. Never I see a unhappy face on staff.
Delicious food, awesome beer, staff were fabulously attentive and accommodating. The only negative is no table service which is really only an issue if you have a lot of little ones like us. Otherwise perfect ????
Have always loved The Bavarian, but a bit disappointed this visit. Sadly no more Veal Schnitzel, pork knuckle quite bland, great music, but too loud to hear each other talk. Might be a visit a year type restaurant or a visit to drink type restaurant now. ☹️
I loved the Jaegerschnitzel and beer cocktail I had. The staff member was helpful and gave my child crayons and an activity book. They also have daily specials and lunch specials.
The staff were super accommodating and the food was yummy. Unfortunately they were sold out of the pork knuckle which has happened both times I’ve been there. But the pork belly was delicious
Music extremely loud, my spouse and I found ourselves screaming at each other just to have a conversations. Food was okay, the oversized drinks are awesome.
We went on a Friday night and it was packed. Unfortunately the band was way too loud though and we struggled to hear each other through the night. Food and beers were great though!
The Bavarian is always a great restaurant to Viti. The staff are friendly, professional and always willing to assist. The restaurant always has a great atmosphere and is usually busy. The food portions are really big as you would expect and have never been disappointed yet. Keep up the great work!
???? we ordered 2 entree’s and they both came out on 1 plate upon asking for a second plate, our request was completely ignored. My main meal was delivered well after everyone finished eating... they forgot about it and admitted they thought the order had been finalised. I was also not impressed with the price $70 for 1 person ???? needless to say it was VERY disappoint and we are NEVER going back!!!!!
Delicious food. The place is a bit hot. No aircon. This will be good in winter...
There was no one to greet us and seat us at our table when we arrived. We had to wait quite some time before we found the appropriate person but once seated our experience was excellent
Staff were friendly, didn’t wait to long for the food, reasonably priced.
This place is great, Caleb the manager was awesome, I eat here all the time and will keep coming back, food is always really nice and tasty. The staff are all very nice
We had never been to the Bavarian before..the staff were friendly, the service was good considering it was a very busy night. The food portions were huge. I had the pork knuckle which was nice but I didn’t enjoy the sauerkraut that came with it (just personal taste).
Generous portions of food served in Bavarian plates. Loud cheerful atmosphere and lots of different beers to choose from. Attentive staff and good service
Bavarian at Chermside was very disappointing- the music was extremely loud at 6pm and if meeting to catchup with friends you will need to yell. When asked to have the music turned down the staff were very obliging only to be told by their managers to turn it up again. We had to move to sit outside for some sanity. The staff told us that the young people like the music loud but at 6pm the majority of their customers were middle aged or families with small children. This place is set up more like a nightclub so if getting drunk having lots of shots and bells ringing as you do it and yelling at your friends is your thing then go to the Bavarian otherwise save your money and go somewhere else
We took advantage of 30% off to head off to the Northside and try this new Bavarian. It's part of the shopping centre so was very busy around 7pm on the Thursday night we went. Would be a good place to go to later in the evening when the crowds die down or less busy night. Tried two platters - generous portions of meat in each. Service was friendly and the restaurant has a mix of pub and al fresco atmosphere. Be warned, being fairly open there is little reprieve from the heat inside on a sweltery day.
Reasonable place, the food was not bad, but nothing special. Was a little disappointed that pork knuckle wasn't available when we were there. Nice live music, although it may not be as suitable if you intend to chat or have babies as it may be a tad loud.
Loved the atmosphere here! Perfect for a group outing or a couples casual dinner date. The food portions were good and lots of variety to choose from. Loved the sausages and can’t say anything bad about them!

Come for a beer, or five!
You’ve met it’s older brother, the Bavarian Bier Cafe, now meet The Bavarian in Chermside. Creating a casual dining experience with large wooden stools and old beer kegs, you won’t be able to go past the Bavarian. This spot is ideal for a catch up with friends, family and colleagues whilst sipping on the best beers in town.
The Bavarian showcases an extensive range of Urban Craft Brewing Co. beers, as well as flavoured and craft beers. With so many different schnitzel dishes to choose from, your only concern will be whether to go for The Big Oz or the Uber Schnitzel.
