The cauliflower wings were a bit average. I make them at home and found that I would’ve preferred my own. I think the batter was just quite plain.. but luckily it is served with a nice chilli dipping sauce. The salt and pepper squid and pickles were delicious! Especially the pickles.. i was curious to try this dish and was not disappointed. We did also order the Mac and cheese bits which were hands down the winning dish of the night! They were like little bursts of cheese heaven. All up great vibe and great food. Would definitely recommend - The Bavarian Eagle Street Pier, Brisbane (QLD)

I called in for happy hour and enjoyed a crispy pork belly bao.. This was delicious. I had a $5 sparking white and a $7.50 , 500g pure blonde. I love the views towards the Story Bridge and of the Brisbane River.

A great venue for celebrations, meals came out relatively quick and the food was tasty. Would be great if meals were cleared once they have been eaten rather than finished plates sitting on the table. Apart from that, all was good. Thankyou

Was a little disappointing that I had to walk up a lot of stairs to get to restaurant. But once there, we were greeted with a friendly hostess and loved the fact it was a Wednesday night and not as busy as weekends. Food was very good. We had a lovely night.

Always good food, however... I was extremely disappointed with the ambiance and the noise level. We had to almost yell to hear one another as the music was so loud and therefore everyone else in the place had to talk loud, making it very uncomfortable. Secondly, with the ordering system now there is ZERO personal experience from any staff, as you order on the phone and then the system asks you if you want to tip the wait staff every time you order, we have no interaction with the staff now so why would we tip them?? Finally, we wanted to have a drink or two before dinner and everytime we placed an order we have to pay a credit card fee. In any normal restaurant we visit we pay the credit card fee maybe once. Not here, every time you order you get charged. UNACCEPTABLE! ROCKPOOL you have lost a customer, won't be back.

The staff were quite abrupt and questioned us when we asked for additional cutlery saying we could only have some if we ordered food, which we had but on different table numbers, Music was a little loud. Manager was helpful and polite when I queried about a menu item.

Great food and atmosphere, service could have been better in the drinks department as we were often left with empty drinks.

Great food, great service would recommend it to other people. Slightly higher value for the food provided compared to other nearby places but still highly recommend

Family dinner, the food was great, service quick, while it is a bar also, for teenager kids is still a good family environment for a meal. There are meal table areas separate to the bar area.

Was really looking forward to the birthday celebratory dinner. So disappointed, seated on stools all night, impersonalised service, having to scan the silly code, paying exhorbitant prices for sloppy food and to top it off, paying a surcharge and service fee every time we ordered Never be back again. Such a ripoff☹️☹️

I can't wait to go back with a group: I love the QR code menu and ordering system - no bill splitting worries afterwards. We sat in a booth in the aircon and had a lovely view of the river. The service was cheerful and attentive and I loved the schnapps board serving.

The location, staff and use of technology to reduce contact was great. The food was represetitive of a frozen meal and the cocktail at $27 AUD for a jug was filled with ice providing no more drink than x2 standard drinks. This cocktail was also not delivered with our order. The music could also be turned down 20dB to permit discussion across the dining table without shouting. Overall no value for money and no genuine Bavarian culinary experience.

Some waitstaff could barely speak English and when kindly asked simple questions she was visibly irritated and dismissive. I was with important work colleagues and networking with other industry professionals. The positive outcome was that we were able to build rapport and personal relationships with our superiors by having the common ground of joking about the god awful waitstaff.

Ordering through the app was a nightmare - customising (e,g no sauce) was not possible on most items, & some items were not available on the app but listed on the paper menu provided and actually available at the bar. The floor was either extremely dirty or had been cleaned inappropriately, all our shoes stuck to the floor. Booth seat upholstery was falling apart. Quick service and ok food. Great location if you get an outside view.

Spent new year eve at the Bavarian and the feast with 2 hour beverage package was great with a lot of delicious food and good drink options. Service was also great, accomodating big groups with decent seating and tables and awesome atmosphere. Recommend to consider Bavarian for next party gathering with food and drinks.

It was a bit disappointing. The menu and payment on an app was slow and annoying. Delivered too many drinks and questioned if we had been charged and the wait staff just wanked off. Just didn’t care. The food was ordinary at best and barely authentic. Great view and enough space for our kids.
