The Bavarian in BRISBANE CBD is always a great venue. They do a great pork knuckle and many choices of beers. Great views of city lights and the river. Sometimes the wait staff are hard to understand or find it hard to understand what your saying but that’s ok.
Incredibly noisy venue filled with lots of drunk people. Service staff were not sufficient for the amount of patrons and there was a lot of confusion over tables (our meal was mistakenly given to someone else and we were approached three different times with other people’s orders). The food was ok. Personally, I prefer the quieter family environment and flavour of the dishes at The German Club, but if you’re keen to party hard and stuff your face with pork, The Bavarian is the place to be.
Lovely views of the river and very tasty food -- only down side.. was music was a bit loud to hear and comfortably be able to enjoy table conversation. You don't want to have to have to speak that loud or lean in to have to hear the other persons conversation for the entire time
We were disappointed in the customer service. The staff were not very attentive and it took a long time to get their attention. We asked two wait staff for water and both forgot, so we had to get it ourselves from the bar. There is also no obvious information on their website or on The fork regarding their surcharge on Sundays. When we enquired about it and informed the wait staff that this information was not made known, they were extremely rude and dismissive, and did not acknowledge any error. Unfortunately this experience has left us unwilling to return.
Always good music, beers and atmosphere!
Three of us went there on Saturday night, they got live band, full of people, wonderful view, great vibe, will definitely recommend it.
Sadly was left very disappointed in the level of food and the comprehension to get the order correct. I am vegetarian and it was salad as there only option. I paid $42 for a drink and 3 sides that came seperately instead of on same plate to make a meal. My salad comprised of salad green a few slithers of onion, cucumber and a halved cherry tomato. Will not be hurrying back.
Music was up way too loud. Trying to be a night club more than a restaurant. The food was good. Staff generally helpful (except for music volume).
Great atmosphere and excellent customer service. The Mango beer was so tasty! They only downside was when all the women's toilets ran out of toilet paper.. there are 5 stalls! Perhaps someone should be monitoring this more regularly.
Food is good, not cheap but good atmosphere
I often go to The Bavarian Eagle Street Pier for lunch and dinner and I am usually satisfied with the food however I had Mussels and those are not cooked well. :( I couldn't have more than four..
Value would have scored higher if dessert was included in the set menu.
I was expecting a restaurant but found a pub instead. Made a booking but no table was reserved. Food was average for $35 per person. Would not go back.
Fantastic view with good beer.
Not enough bar staff for patrons. Staff serving were slow. Lower bar service was intermittent.
disappointed that 50% off food voucher from fork was not able to be used: I was sure when booking that this was confirmed but a good night nonetheless
Good atmosphere and great food. The service was good too.
Have a very nice view
Decent food quality, however on the day of booking the bar tap wasn't working so can't get any tap beer. Otherwise a rather pleasant experience
Good view, and good place to enjoy meal with family and friends

Dinner with a view.
Perfectly positioned on the Brisbane waterfront with sweeping views over Story Bridge and the mighty Brisbane River, Bavarian Bier Cafe is a pretty spectacular spot in which to dine. Come and take in the incredible view while you sip on a stein and feast on traditional Bavarian fare. As a local hotspot for corporate lunches, after-work bevs, celebratory meals and general weekend fun, Bavarian Bier Cafe is where it’s at!
Best dish: spice rubbed wagyu beef tri tip steak.
