Tasty straightforward snitzels with some good red cabbage & sauerkraut sides to complement the dunkel bier & the view across the bay. Worth a visit if you fancy a drink & something to eat rather than cooking

Was a super hot day. Some ceiling fans would have helped to circulate the air. Otherwise a perfect location, perfect atmosphere, great food and superb beer. Thoroughly recommended.

Great vibe, lovely spot, great selection of beers. The food isn’t amazing, pork knuckle was a bit cold and a bit dry, but the ambience still makes it a fun evening.

We didn’t like ordering off our phones as we couldn’t ask questions the staff were lovely but didn’t come to table unless delivering food or drinks. Dessert took way too long to come

Little disapointed with the evening out tonight. Took us ages to get into the place despite it being empty. Staff only deliver food and drinks to the table. Everything else is done by app - which may be covid safe - but is soulless. My husband had a parma schnitzel that tasted a little like a shoe boot, and I had the Oktoberfest schitzel which was tasty and fresh. If it wasnt for the location, it really would not survive.

I need gluten free food as I’m Coeliac. There’s not much share food on the menu for me to choose from. However, the staff are friendly and very helpful and the atmosphere is really good.

It was more like being in a yobo pub on a Saturday night than a good place to take the family. While the staff were polite and friendly, the food service was a joke. Two meals didn’t arrive till the rest of us had finished eating.

The food was amazing, staff were fantastic. The manager came up to us and asked about our experience which I thought was great he made sure everything was ok. Highly recommended

Big TV screens everywhere showing rugby league. Awful. Feels like a RSL now. My pork schnitzel was fat not flat and bland. Minuscule portion of slaw.

Well located, Good atmosphere. Fast and tasty food. The menu and payment is online, a very convenient system for large groups. Only "missing" is the fact it does not have baby changer in the toilets.

Before the China virus lock out the venue had more authentic German food offerings, now your choices are mainly deep fried cheap rubbish, KFC seems to be a healthier option! What’s with card only and no cash?

It was great to be able to get out to dinner finally and the Bavarian provided a nice meal. The service was the best it could be as they were using an app to order. It was alright but didn't make the going out to dinner experience very special. Understandable though.

Good location but outside seats are located more on the road side than the ocean.Hugos had outdoor seating overlooking water. Fish was undercooked and had to be returned to the kitchen. Pretzels the best thing we ordered, the rest of the meals average

Pork knuckles was cooked well and delicious. Table staff was nice and helpful while bar staff was not attentive. I tried to order some drinks and they just ignored and pretended they didn't see me.

Great location with friendly staff and atmosphere. We always have the make your own salad which is nice and fresh but the spicy citrus sauce is no longer spicy and has become somewhat sweet not citrusy. Otherwise all good.
