Beetroot, quinoa, baby spinach, radish, almonds and citrus dressing
Chickpea, carrot, red cabbage, cherry tomato, pepitas and red wine vinaigrette
Parmesan, crispy bacon, anchovies, pretzel croutons and ranch dressing
Love the food and drink though a little on the expensive side. Atmosphere is great for parties but not if you want to be able to hear what the other person is saying. Good for entertainment.
The Bavarian was a good meeting place to celebrate a family birthday. Great food, excellent beers and relaxing ambiance. The German sausages and sauerkraut were delicious and traditional
Good quality food, easy new ordering system, nice beer choices. Would recommend.
We had a terrific night at the Bavarian, Penrith from the most wonderful welcome to a delicious meal & excellent service . The Octoberfest atmosphere was heightened by colourful Bavarian attire worn by the staff who was very attentive & enthusiastic. Great beer , the elderflower cocktails & the butterscotch schnapps were delicious. I’m so glad we didn’t eat any lunch before we went out as the Octoberfest special sharing platter for 2 was extremely generous & tasty . We’ll definitely be back . Thank you so much .
Made a reservation for 3. When we arrived we were offered a tiny dark corner which was the bar area just next to the toilets even when there were PLENTY of empty tables. We refused to sit there and asked to be seated elsewhere. We were then given a corner table next to a massive pillar. We felt the staff was being nice to selected people only. Clearly small groups of people were not welcomed, but noticed the front desk staff being overly friendly towards the big party crowds. The food was average but good portions, we enjoyed the beer. The staff that served the food were very friendly and accommodating. Being able to pay and order from your table was convenient and a great feature. However the first impression was not a pleasant one therefore not planning to return.
We had made a booking for 2 people a week in advance but when we got there we were seated at a little drinking bench rather than a proper table. The bench was right next to a very loud speaker. As the seating we were given was so poor, we left without ordering anything. There were plenty of tables available that weren't reserved but it appears this restaurant only cares about your comfort if you are in a large group.
Bookings make no difference, you still have to line up and not prioritised for seating.
Initial welcome lacked sincerity; waiter who escorted us to our table spoke so fast regarding how to order I’d completely missed how to. We were then redirected to another table where received excellent service from another waiter named Taylor.
Great food however the ordering system was not to my liking at all. I really prefer a person to person system. Felt only a few steps away from cooking your own food at a pub. Beer prices were very high.
Food was good. Waitress was rude when advising the delivered the wrong meal. Manager was helpful to sort out though. The restaurant can’t decide if it is a restaurant or a night club. Not the place to go if you want to talk over dinner
Welcome was great however the service after that was incredibly disappointing with forgetting orders and getting orders incorrect. Food was delicious as per usual
The food was pretty good, but service and wait times were awful. They were running on skeletal staff (perhaps because it was a Sunday), with at least one appearing to be undertaking training so she didn't seem to know what was going on. We had to queue for 20 mins to place an order, and the food took more than 30 mins to arrive after that. It wasn't even very crowded. They impose a 10% Sunday surcharge. Was very much looking forward to our meal here, but was frustrated by the long waits
Nice food and love the place
Not very good. Too expensive and terrible service
Food overpriced for what you get. We had 50% off through The Fork, so it was ok, but definitely wouldn’t like to be paying full price for it. Waitress serving us was lovely but it took ages for the food to come out, and the restaurant certainly wasn’t busy. Won’t be going back- there’s many more restaurants close by that are so much better.
Nice place to take the family for a Sunday Dinner. Very quiet. Food was served fast even though only one person was serving. Definitely coming back again but maybe not on a Sunday as there is a 10% Sunday surcharge
Been to this place in the past and every other experience was great. This was the only time where it was pretty disappointing. Massive fan of the bavarian in other places and the drinks are always good. But there was no transparency or what seems to be honesty in the service at all. Booking it through fork there is a 30% of just the food, ordering to schnitzels $29 each would usually be $58 with the discount it would be $40.60 with drinks being 9.50 each ordering 3 it would have been $28.50. The discount doesn’t account for drinks which is understandable so the total would normally be $86.50 with the 30% it would be $69.10 which it wasn’t. So we were charged the full price. At first being charged I gave them the benefit of the doubt so I asked if the 30% was applied and according to them it was (charged $86.50), I asked them again just to make sure and again told it was, but this time stating you just can’t see it. Honestly at first and as cheap as I might sound I was unhappy about first being charged the full 86.50 and not saving that $17.40 (could have been another beer) But then to tell me an excuse of “you just can’t see it on there” , or not even explaining is just dishonest, no transparency and lack of quality service , just wanted a good explanation as it could clearly be worked out. Would I ever go to The Bavarian again ? Yes, but not to the one located in Penrith.
Manager didn’t know about the discount from the Fork. It was overly crowded as they have squashed as many tables in as possible to a small space making it difficult to have a conversation.
The service was excellent. Fast and efficient service every step of the way. The food was delicious and the large drinks were welcome on such a hot day. Will definitely return in the near future.
Great pork shnitty!

Come for a beer, or five!
You’ve met it’s older brother, the Bavarian Bier Cafe, now meet The Bavarian. Creating a casual dining experience with large wooden stools and old beer kegs, you won’t be able to go past the Bavarian. This spot is ideal for a catch up with friends, family and colleagues whilst sipping on the best beers in town.
The Bavarian showcases an extensive range of Urban Craft Brewing Co. beers, as well as flavoured and craft beers. With so many different schnitzel dishes to choose from, your only concern will be whether to go for The Big Oz or the Uber Schnitzel.
