Service was quick and efficient Food extremely tasty We arrived on World Taco Day so was treated to $4 Tacos and $8 frozen margaritas, a real bargain and we had all 4 on offer and they were a taste sensation

Strange set up when we arrived, 3 groups of patrons all had reservations. We were made to wait squashed up in the entry. The restaurant was mostly empty . Apparently the tables were still being set up. They weren’t i was watching. It seemed like a control freak type of thing . I wasn’t amused . Bad start to the evening.

We always order the “Feed Me” and highly recommend this, so many delicious small plates served and everything tastes amazing. The food is excellent. Service from staff is warm and effortless. One of the best places to dine in Melbourne. We love this place!

About The Black Toro

Charge! The Black Toro opened its doors in 2012 and hasn’t looked back since. This restaurant was created with the desire to bring a higher level of dining to the bustling Kingsway strip, and is inspired by the colorful eateries of Latin America. Fore fronted by Head Chef Garen Maskal, The Black Toro aims to provide a new and fresh approach to Hispanic cuisine reworked to a Modern Australian palate. The dining room is classy and brought to life by the mural of a large black toro painted on one wall. The menu moves with the seasons and always has a fresh focus - start with a few small plates before diving into a large bowl of barbecued chili chicken with cumin caramel, toasted sesame and Mexican pilaf.
