It was a very enjoyable experience. Service was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. It was an important birthday and the venue was suitable to ensure it was memorable.

Very disappointing. My husband had taken me there for a special Mother’s Day dinner. I felt for such a up market restaurant that the BBQ prawns could have been peeled and then Barbequed rather than leave the shell on. The shell was very difficult to remove and very messy. Not a enjoyable task. My wagyu beef was full of grizzel , very fatty and could have been cooked more for me as I asked for very well done. Even the waffle tasted like it was a pre made waffle from a packet. The toppings were nice. We eat out at least 6 nights a week and was looking forward to this restaurant being very special but so disappointed. I did mention to the staff after paying but only spoke to her about the meat. She was very nice and had looked after us well and said she would mention it to the chef . Regards Coral Smith

Mains were basically fancy pub food. Flavours were ok but for the price we paid not worth it. Nothing on the mains list really jumped out at us as we felt like we were at an over priced pub. The scallops and squid special were fantastic and were the only highlight of the night. The pork salad was terrible, it was all corriandar which meant that was the only flavour I could taste. There was too many greens and no mango or pork to really be seen. For the price I paid for an entree I was very disappointed. With so little positives to the night I defiantly would not be coming back. After spending $390 on food that was extremely average and underwhelming I would rate meals a 1/10 I only gave a 5 as the drinks were good as well as the bar service by Alex. Kaitlin and Imogen were fantastic with service as well. It’s just the kitchen and meals that let everything down.

Booked the brunch for Easter Sunday, thinking we would do something special for the family, since our boys are teenagers and Easter hunt is no longer the thing in our family plus we do not usually spoil ourselves, we decided to book the brunch advertised at $69 per adult and $45 for teens aged 10-18. At this price, we expected to have some nice food, and have a great Easter Sunday. Instead we got a breakfast menu with oysters and prawns to make the menu a little fancy. We already had breakfast that morning, so on arrival we were looking for other food that is not breakfast. I asked the waiters do we get any hot food, chips, meat, they pointed at the eggs on toast and omelet's and pastries under the lamps, plus the cold sandwich turkey was the meat. I felt the staff tried to get away from me quickly like they acknowledged it wasn't much food, but couldn't give me answers. They directed me to the manager of the restaurant, We waited for her but she did not come straight away. Mind you, they charged the credit card before we sat down. The fact of the matter is at $252.00 yes we also got charged $69 for my 18 year old when they advertised $45, we walked out starving, disappointed and feeling ripped off on Easter Sunday, thanks for ruining my family's Easter. We went to the reception of the hotel, to express my disappointment, and the lady at reception called the restaurant manager. Whilst waiting I noticed the dinner menu of the restaurant. Most main meals were priced at $35 average, why would you price a brunch higher than your dinner meals, and not deliver a good menu? I have never criticised a place, but this was way below standard. Finally the manager arrived, and when I explained my disappointment, I got her spill of how she decided it would be nice to have a sandwich theme, with lots of sweets as it is easter bla bla bla. She completely missed value for money. It was based on over priced and under dilivered. Ripped off there guests, and didn't care when explained our dissapointment on the food. Did not offer a plate of hot chips to keep their customer happy, I will not be doing that in a hurry. We were better off buying from the menu, and paying half the bill we did. Not Happy.
