A really nice place to eat but despite booking in September and receiving a confirmation the day before , when we arrived the staff had no knowledge of us! All was well and they found us a table okay but the special day (a birthday) could have been spoiled.

This was our second time there as our first experience was quite wonderful. Unfortunately, the second time wasn’t so great. They had a lot of new staff and lack of organisation. The atmosphere was beautiful but the service and food quality wasn’t the greatest. We’ll go again but It’ll have to be for an invite.

Fabulous meal. Excellent staff who accommodated our two year old with a smile and a high chair. Beautiful venue for a special occasion. We loved the candles and the fairy lights. Excellent food and wine.

Absolutely freezing and the heating wasn’t turned on until guests were arriving. Service was amateurish and the food was very ordinary. The dessert was very nice but it is difficult to go wrong with a sticky date pudding. The beef was well cooked but that is all I really enjoyed besides the good selection of local wine by the glass. Very disappointing overall after a strong recommendation.
Yesterday was Father's Day so we were serving from a set menu. The Father's Day menu was served share style so the service was more relaxed as it reflected the style of food. At the Bridgewater Mill we have underground heating, plus ducted heating. The building and floors are stone and where you were sitting the walls are glass. The underground heating was left on from the night before and the ducted heating had been on for hours. Extra heaters were used to help take the chill out of the air. "Fresh" mornings are just part of the Adelaide Hills in the Autumn and early Spring months. We always make our customer's comfort a priority. Thank you

The food was excellent and the service was professional and personable. Decor is a tad tired. We've been coming here on and off for over 15 years and the only drawback is that the restaurant space is quite cold in winter.

It is not somewhere I would go in winter again as it felt really cold in there, but would be beautiful in warmer weather. The food was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. Portion sizes were good too.
