Visited this restaurant on several occasions and have always had a great experience. Sadly my recent experience food wise was below par. Two dishes that we had had before, and and were exceptional eggplant dish and their salt pepper calamari were on this occasion either reheated one too many times, past their use by date or less than desirable. The eggplant dried out and calamari unpleasant. Really disappointing. Service is friendly. Lovely ambiance. Sadly our comments were either not understood or disregarded.

Very disappointing. Our order was taken and checked efficiently enough, but after that the experience was awful. One dish appeared, not very fresh and then a main dish appeared before we had received one of our starters. When we enquired about the missing starter, nothing happened for several minutes while the main dish grew cold. Further inquiries resulted in the main course being taken away to be reheated, but still no starter, and the main dish reappeared, but no rice and accompanying main dish of vegetables, and still no starter. At this stage, we had had enough of waiting and our theatre start time was looming. We walked out.

Great pre theatre dinner. Need more options for vegetables/ stir fry if not eating meat, or sides besides a bowl of rice. I had bokchoy with garlic for $22. Very small.

Cute restaurant close to Ros Packer Theatre. Good fast food service. All staff very helpful. Food quite good. A limited menu, but quite different, which was lovely. A good choice when going, or coming, from the theatre.

Warm and cosy atmosphere with lovely staff and the freshest tasting, most well balanced Chinese food I have tasted. Ordered a selection of dumplings, spring rolls, Singapore noodles and rice and all were delicious. Highly recommend! 10/10

We booked for a pre theatre dinner but despite arriving at 6:00 for a 7:30 show we didn’t get our food until almost 7:00 and no- one came take our order or explain the menu for more than half an hour. There was only the Banquet menu available ( not mentioned when booking ) which was small portions and limited although quite tasty not really worth $45. Very rushed at the end to get to the show.

We’ve enjoyed many pre theatre meals here but this was our least pleasant experience. The usual staff were absent and the service was chaotic. The half glass of rose came in a small champagne glass. The waiter forgot the serviettes, the chopsticks & turned on the lamp halfway through the meal. We’d shared a tiny portion of sanchow bow & waited for an hour for the next mixed seafood forty dollar dish. 4 prawns, 2 pieces of squid, onion & broccoli. No rice was offered, It was the tiniest meal I’ve ever had there. Very disappointed. A discount was offered when I complained.

We booked for 2 people for lunch and Fork emailed to confirm the booking. We got there and it was all locked up. A woman arrived and started unlocking the door and we asked about our booking and she laughed at us. So we have no idea what this restaurant is like. Is it ever open?
