Exceeded expectations! Great food, outstanding service (especially Hena) and a real lucky find on the north shore. We need more of these places!
Nice setting to have a birthday lunch. They have a good, varied menu and the food was reasonably priced, portion sizes were ok. Service was a bit slow, but food came out quickly
Lovely rustic atmosphere and attentive service. We had share plates which were excellent and a nice way to eat. I would like to see some Australian sparkling wines on the menu as they only had an Italian prosecco and a French one, and another Rose style (which I cant drink as I am allergic to red wine, not sure where it was from?) We noticed the same with the dessert wines; however, when we asked if they had an Australian sticky they bought one out and it was delicious, so thank you. Just a small detail but one worth mentioning as I like to support Australian wine makers. Thank you for a lovely night.
Food was outstanding, the staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, even to the point of changing my mind to get the mushroom sauce which was amazing.
Food and service was great. Good variety so suited our large group - something for everyone. It was pretty fast too. Would definitely go again and recommend.
The scallops and beef tartar were fantastic to start off. The 300g sirloin was cooked to perfection, tender yet full of flavour. My wife had the roast chicken which had a great balance of flavours. Highly recommend this place for anyone who likes to enjoy a nice meal with their loved ones.
Superb food, service, wine, atmosphere and attentive room to detail. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier or managed allergy requests with more expertise. A really excellent meal all round and we will definitely be back.
This was my third time having my dinner there. It’s always been an excellent experience of every single dinner at Butcher’s Block. Good quality food with high cooking standard together with good presentation. The warm-hearted welcoming service made me feel so impressed being a customer there.
Having the atmosphere is great but once it picks up, it gets so noisy that you’re screaming across the table to talk above the room volume
Took a special friend for her birthday dinner. Have been a few time’s before. Service is usually very good and seating host last few times I went in winter was very attentive. However, there was someone new this time and he wasn’t very friendly and welcoming. Generally the staff seemed very distracted and not on their game. The food, however was excellent. Loved my roast Barramundi and my friend, her soft shell crab. We wanted to try the banana dessert, sadly they ran out of it and we ordered the toffee pie instead which turned out to be way too sweet with a vanilla ice cream on the side. Not my favourite! We were seated outside and unfortunately towards the end of the meal (around 10pm) their was either a delivery of gas cylinders or petrol but the smell became too pungent and both my friend and I found it overpowering and had to cut our evening short!
Very nice, very enjoyable, a little jem in Wahroonga!
Felt a bit odd being seated in day time area with less people but didn't detract from service or food
It’s always a pleasure heading to Butcher’s Block. Attentive service, tasty meals and great coffee.
Food was awesome, entree's were huge!! be careful not to over order as we did. Will definitely be back.
We had a great night, enjoyed our meals and drinks
Service was disorganized - we were moved from the bar and placed in the cafe area which was cold, un-inviting and had zero atmosphere when a table in the warm and inviting restaurant was empty. We had to complain to the floor manager who was very reluctant to find our booked table in the resturant Most of the staff were very pleasant but one waitress seemed either very new (if so, this is 100% ok) or disinterested in her job. Food was ok but overall the experience and meal was not worth $240 and I probably won't be back or recommend your establishment to colleagues or friends.
Delicious dining experience!
Probably more suitable to younger diners and families but not so much for older couples (like us) and definitely not for a quiet intimate/first date dinner. The tables are so close you can start up conversation with the next table! The food was good, as it should be for the price!
Fabulous. Will always return
Enjoyed our time at your restaurant
