Beautiful restaurant, warm friendly service, excellent food, loved the 5-6pm happy hour $10 cocktails and $5 wines. If we were in the country we’d come back tomorrow

Very attentive, friendly staff, good choice of wine and food. Great for social gathering- work or pleasure. Only comment was I booked the Tapas area and due to being very busy that night we were seated in main dining. Would have been nice to sample the tapas menu as it was a leaving do and probably won’t get to visit Chambers again. Great venue and highly recommended!

Asked for medium rare steak and it came out well done then other meals lacked favours and seasoning The food looked pretty but overall the meal was disappointing and not good value for money so I was happy I had the 50% voucher. I would not recommend to friends. They need a new chef ASAP because the wait staff, lovely and attentive. It’s a fantastic building so it’s such a shame they serve tasteless unimpressive food. Wonderful wine menu. Overall 5/10

A highly recommended restaurant in Cairns, service was fantastic, food was top notch, great atmosphere and lighting. We are both former chefs and managers of restaurants, and couldn’t fault this place at all. We will definitely be back.

Had brekky on Monday morning and Dinner on Wednesday night - absolutely fantastic. I am local and had friends up from Sydney, perfect choice.

The salmon is a bit hard, and the sauce of the cauliflower is quite different to Asia's taste.

Our meals were nice, but the portion sizes were very small and there was nothing extra special about the food to justify the price. The service was very good, the décor of the restaurant is nice. The wine list is extensive. Just nothing amazing.

About the restaurant

Opened in June, 2018 The Chambers is all about creating memorable experiences for people through quality food, drinks and a bustling atmosphere.

Located in a former NAB bank from the 1920s, The Chambers is a unique landmark in the heart of Cairns City with a charming cafe, two bustling bars, a cosy restaurant and an in-house patisserie/ bakery.

Labelled by locals as one of Cairns best cafe, restaurant and bars, The Chambers offers a unique Modern Australian menu headed up by Head Chef Michael Orford.

Remaining true to the origins of the 1920s' bank, the interior hosts the original brick, bank shutters and steel beams that are over 90 years old!

The Chambers provides a wholesome, produce-driven menu that is fresh, fun and innovative. Each dish is set to hero the local produce of the region for a flavour explosion.

The initial concept of The Chambers was born from The Wilson family, who fell in love with the building and had a vision to create a dining precinct unlike any in Cairns, and was designed to bring people together over great food, drinks and above all a fantastic atmosphere.
