Excellent
Great food and service.
Always delicious and great service here.
This was my first time at this restaurant. Could not fault the food, service or ambiance. It was quiet and with no Muzak. It was a very pleasant dining experience. I will be returning to try other dishes.
This a regular haunt for us. We can’t resist the call of the best Indian curries in town. (And the friendliest staff). If you haven’t been here yet you really should try it and if you have, you won’t need this review because you will already be planning you next visit.
Ordered veg biryani and cheese naan. Veg biryani was horrible.. it tastes like mix veg curry mixed in boiled rice. No spices or salt added in it. Authentic flavour of biryani was not present at all. Frozen vegetables used and they were cold when served on table. Cheese naan was good though
Thank you always 10/10!
excellent entrees. Not sure if the veg curry did not have frozen veggies in it. Certainly had that frozen veg consistency. Dahl was good and the tandoori mushrooms were delicious. No fresh desserts.
always enjoyable, friendly staff, relatively good service, food good,
We had a lovely meal early on a Sunday evening. There were quite a few other diners which contributed to a nice atmosphere. Friendly service too.
We really enjoyed our experience . A lovely welcome and service. The delicious vegetarian entree’ platter and lamb balti finished off with cardamom spiced tea really warmed the cockles of our hearts on a rainy evening. Thanks!
Great Indian, best serving sizes and great variety of options!
The Tawa goat curry was nicely spiced and tender. The garlic naan is not crispy enough and no garlic flavour.
Good Indian food!
Food was delicious! We had 2 curries, a rice to share and 4 naans, the serving size for curries were a little smaller than expected but very good quality. Special mention to the female and male waitstaffs, they were both extremely friendly, very accommodating and very attentive, made the whole dinner a pleasure!
Great food and atmosphere with professional staff
Good food, nice atmosphere & very friendly service!
We had two chicken dishes and the meat was tender and of good quality. It had a bit a different touch than other Indian restaurants and we liked it. The rice and nans were great, too. Service was excellent.
Food was fantastic and very family friendly in being able to order curry's in mild, medium and hot. Kids loved everything off the main menu, we didn't even need to resort to the Kids Menu. Will definitely be back.
Exemplary hospitality and high quality food. strongly recommended.???????????? I had a mild goat biryani and it couldn't be any more tender and juicy. Looking forward to my next time.
Delicious food and great service. Will definitely come back!

British-Indian Brilliance
The Colonial offers a new kind of dining experience, introducing diners to the flavours of a long forgotten cuisine in India’s North-West Frontier Province. Colonial's interior is ultra-chic - a far cry from your usual Indian take-away and the menu too offers a delicious departure from the ordinary. The cuisine uses a simplistic style of preparation, where chunks of meat, seafood and veg are marinated and cooked in a Clay Tandoor at a high temp. This means they remain succulent and deliciously tender. The rusticness of this fare and the focus of preserving flavour is the highlight of this cuisine. The Colonial revives the age old cuisine and cooking style to bring you an experience which is a feast for the stomach and the soul.
