It was a cold, wet and windy day for breakfast and as we all sat down the waitress popped up and took our coffee orders, there was as bit of a hilarious mix up with a couple of the coffee orders and our waitress corrected the mix up which was nice. The food was good and there was a lot of it. It was a lovely way to celebrate a 60th birthday.
Despite the 40 plus degree day outside the restaurant was cool and relaxing. Great value with a great view despite the smoke and drought. My Sydney friends were impressed. Hoping desperately for rain for the whole South East and would encourage everyone to book a table and enjoy this wonderful facility and restaurant.
All was really great....wait to be seated too long though especially when escorting an interstate guest. Food and waiters really excellent and seating terrific. Have no hesitation in returning. Thankyou
The food and the staff were excellent. I couldn't fault them! I would like to have had a window seat ( we had a visitor from overseas) but I understand that because we booked for 1.00 pm, that wasn't possible.
Staff were wonderful, welcoming and very considerate of the elderly relatives who accompanied us. The choice and quality of food and drinks was excellent and represented good value for money. Always enjoy the views from the restaurant and a visit to the Arboretum shop and bonsai display following a meal.
Excellent venue to watch a storm roll over Canberra. Service very quick and servers were great at ensuring our order and meals were taken and delivered before a larger group were served. A fixed price menu is good and choice nice. Wine list small but quality. Overall a great lunch
Amazing views of Canberra during a thunderstorm. Staff attentive and helpful - we appreciated being served before a larger group. Innovative menu with choice. Nice to choose from fixed charge menu and wide choice of wine.
An excellent meal in a beautiful location!
Fabulous , delicious and beautifully presented
Great food and great service.
Have been there 4 times for lunch and once again fantastic experience. Love the choice of Canberra wines????
Service very accommodating. Fantastic view from table next to window. Food a little hit and miss. The braised beef dish was to die for as was the teriyaki salmon. The duck dish unfortunately did not reach the tenderness of the beef dish and the vegetables - to my taste - were undercooked. My dessert was underwhelming. A tiny scoop of slightly melted, albeit admittedly delicious ice cream, with 4 small pieces of meringue shards! The Apple Mille-feuille was a more substantial serving with an intricate decoration.
First in - last served. Waited over an hour for mains.
Great location, great service, catered for kids, tables not too close together.
Always great for breakfast.
It was Father’s Day . Busy. The kids didn’t like their food. One plate of pasta sent back due to being cold. Like, refrigerated cold. Was replaced without fuss. The service staff were lovely.
Always a great place to dine
great location and great food however service could be improved
