The service was very good, the staff friendly and prompt. The coffee and tea were very good, and served at the perfect temperature. The views were amazing even on a cold winter morning. Sadly the venue was a little cold, but in the grand scheme of things this was fine. The food was more expensive than the regular price you would pay for breakfast, and the servings plentiful, however it was not cooked well. Parts of it were over cooked, other parts cold and on the whole pretty unappetizing both in flavour and to look at, so it was largely left uneaten.

We had the last booking for brunch at 10.30 with a visiting family of friends. Since they were resetting the venue for lunch pretty soon, service seemed rushed, and if I had known it's not a brunch venue, but a distinct breakfast vs lunch venue, I would've chosen somewhere else for that occasion. Our ordered coffees were forgotten, which the waitress kindly served to us complimentary at the public area outside but the disruptions, though understandable, could perhaps have been managed better through a clearer booking system.

14 guests and only 3 happy - they were the kids eating from the kids menu. No-one could eat their broccolini. Couldn't even cut it Steak, Pork and Venison meals all way over cooked and very dry The venison was raw on one side The pork sauce was the same as the steak, even though it was supposed to be chocolate, chilly sauce. The steak was small morsels of steak and not a slice. 11 guests left most of the meal because it was so bad.

Great spot for lunch. Seasonal menu, offered as either 2 or 3 courses chosen craft rom 4 options for each course, plus daily specials. Good price for innovative, excellently prepared and presented food. Great, sweeping view of Canberra from a high spot at the National Arboretum plus the National Bonsai collection aware added attractions.
