I rated food down because the Barramundi fish (ordered by three of us) was very dry. Also we had to ask for lemons with our fish - really!!

The Conservatory is a lovely restaurant with good food, wine list and views. The service is good. A nice place for a casual meal or a special occasion.

The service was very good, the staff friendly and prompt. The coffee and tea were very good, and served at the perfect temperature. The views were amazing even on a cold winter morning. Sadly the venue was a little cold, but in the grand scheme of things this was fine. The food was more expensive than the regular price you would pay for breakfast, and the servings plentiful, however it was not cooked well. Parts of it were over cooked, other parts cold and on the whole pretty unappetizing both in flavour and to look at, so it was largely left uneaten.

About The Conservatory Restaurant

The Conservatory restaurant offers contemporary Australian cuisine, with dishes simply prepared with care, to share. Produce is sourced primarily within Canberra’s 100-mile foodshed to support good farming in the region. The focus is on organic and biodynamic produce, heirloom meats, seasonal vegetables and fruits, and sustainable sea and fresh water foods. The views are incredible and the food is even better. Get here! Best dish: slow cooked wagyu cheek, celeriac puree, confit eschallots, brussel sprouts.
