7/10We came here after watching the sunrise at Mount Coot-tha and were feeling a bit cold. We thought it would have been nice and warm to sit inside but it was super cold inside. In hindsight we should probably have taken the outdoors seats because there were heaters. Our waitresses were really friendly and efficient. The potato & pea korma was excellent and my mushroom ragout with polenta was TDF! The lasagne toastie sounded good on paper but it was hard to cut through and the bread to filling ratio was a bit out of wack, interesting concept nevertheless. There were other dishes that sounded appealing and hopefully we could try them next time.

113 Sylvan Road, 4066, Toowong (QLD), Australia
Around the Toowong corner Who could imagine this historic derelict building could be refurbished into a relaxed eating and drinking experience that caters for the workers on the go or a social get together? It's remarkable! On the corner of Sylvan Rd and Quinn St, the Corner Store Café allows you to revel in the new interior or bask outside in an enjoyable setting. Open 7 days a week from 7 in the morning – ahhh the convenience of knowing you can get that early morning caffeine hit! And you have to appreciate a place that takes pride in making the best lattes in town. Browse through the various condiments they have for sale that line the walls and will give you oodles of ideas for your own meals. A lovely feature outside is their own organic herb and vege garden so you know the kitchen is bursting with freshness. You could start the day with a chia seed pudding or Belgian waffles or grab a mushroom burger or chicken salad for lunch. The menu is full of flavour and the cakes and biscuits on display are way too tempting. You could always work off the extra calories by having a hit of tennis across the road - just so you can return for more! Best Dish: Peri Peri Chicken Salad
