The quality of the food is very good. However the service is not up to 5 star standard.

The staff at this hotel were wonderful. One of our group was gluten free and vegan. The chef prepared a special high tea plate especially for her. It was superb and very much appreciated. We will definitely be back. The food was beautiful. I highly recommend it

They provided us a small table for three guests in the corner of a room. Not enough room to put three tea pots and we had to ask the waiter to get another table for us. The pianist was great.

Terrible service, this place has gone down hill. This is my 5th time coming here for high tea buffet and the last. Took over 50 mins and still no tea order (sparkling wine took 30 mins to arrive) after having to ask twice for it. Finally got our tea (after going to the bar/counter and ordering it myself as got sick of waiting) and was told 10 mins later after receiving it that the high tea is finishing up in 20 mins. Felt as if the boss wasn't there and the staff had no idea what to do. Very haphazard. Now to the food: Pies were cold and half filled with chicken and mushroom - mostly pastry. Quiche was tasteless. Egg sandwiches weren't salted so very bland. Sausage rolls were good but cold Scones were too light and airy, more like a cake, not like they should be. On a final note we still had 10 mins left, the people sitting next to us had left so the waitstaff cleared the table, then decided to vacuum the floor whilst we and everyone else were still "enjoying" our hightea. Absolutely disrespectful and disgraceful. I will be telling everyone I know not to waste time and money going to the cortile high tea buffet and find somewhere decent instead.

Positives: Afternoon tea menu provided a good selection both savoury and sweet. Negatives: Staff rushed off their feet. Had to ask for wine and tea to accompany our High Tea. Made booking 3 months prior yet were seated at table opposite concierge desk near entrance with little privacy. Lack of music and ambience.Disappointing as this was a special celebration for my daughter’s 30th birthday with my other daughter had travelled from overseas to join us.

Service at the high tea buffet was a long way from attentive. The experience of queuing at a buffet for food that wasn’t particularly fresh left us feeling that the experience was not as special as other high teas available at similar establishment. There was absolutely no “wow’ factor, other than the setting.
