The couscous salad wasn’t on the menu for high tea this time. This dish needs to be re-instated as it is fresh and healthy to balance the savoury. The music was great but too loud for table conversations to be heard easily.

Tea and champagne were great but the food was about average - scones were a bit dry and mini meat pies were warm.

I took my three children as a special treat for their birthday. They were most excited about the Candy Bar which is advertised on their website & also on the menu we received on arrival. I was disappointed to be told that they no longer do their candy bar. They should update their menu then as my kids were disappointed.

We had a lovely experience at the Cortile for the high tea buffet on the weekend! The staff were attentive and very accommodating for our party of 2 adults and 8 children! They even provided a cake for our daughter who was celebrating her 10th b'day, that made the occasion even more special. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman that looked after us so well. Thank you! We will be back!

Food was good. Service was lacking. We were sat down and given sparkling wine then left unattended for half an hour without being asked for our tea orders. It was not until the food arrived that we had to ask for tea...at a High Tea.

Have been here before and it was wonderful. This time it wasn't so great. Hot food was cold. Range of foods at the high tea was lower. Labels were incorrect. We had to ask for our teas/coffees where I thought last time they came up immediately and asked for your order. We arrived at about 5 minutes to 3:00 and were left there standing until I finally approached one of the staff members...no one approached us. The state of the toilets was shocking and there was also what we assumed to be a backpacker (bag and sleeping bag in tow) using the facilities for washing themselves.

1.5 hours session for high-tea is too short, 2 hours is ideal, as we like to enjoy what we taste, chat, and relax. High teas are meant to be for leisure arvo catch up with families and good friends. Keep up with the great work Intercontinental, you are still the best location for high teas in our views. Hopefully our suggestion can be taken on board. See you next time and many thanks :)
