The Nutcracker High Tea was delicious, beautifully served on Noritake dinnerware. The cakes, sconces and savoury sandwiches we’re delicate and delicious!

Tea and champagne were great but the food was about average - scones were a bit dry and mini meat pies were warm.

I took my three children as a special treat for their birthday. They were most excited about the Candy Bar which is advertised on their website & also on the menu we received on arrival. I was disappointed to be told that they no longer do their candy bar. They should update their menu then as my kids were disappointed.

Food was good. Service was lacking. We were sat down and given sparkling wine then left unattended for half an hour without being asked for our tea orders. It was not until the food arrived that we had to ask for tea...at a High Tea.

Have been here before and it was wonderful. This time it wasn't so great. Hot food was cold. Range of foods at the high tea was lower. Labels were incorrect. We had to ask for our teas/coffees where I thought last time they came up immediately and asked for your order. We arrived at about 5 minutes to 3:00 and were left there standing until I finally approached one of the staff members...no one approached us. The state of the toilets was shocking and there was also what we assumed to be a backpacker (bag and sleeping bag in tow) using the facilities for washing themselves.

You could only have one small pot of tea or a small cup of coffee. Any more you would have to pay. Savouries - sausage rolls & mini pies were cold. Tables were too close together & you felt a part of the next tables conversations. I went there last December for a High Tea Buffet & liked it much better, a lot more food to choose from.

Would have preferred a bit more privacy. I'm unsure why we were situated opposite some loud businessman patronising one of his subordinates for over an hour

I don’t normally review but our experience at The Cortile is worthy of a mention. Three of us thoroughly enjoyed the most beautiful High Tea here, the food was exceptional and there was so much of it. Good choice of teas and we also enjoyed a Mocktail each as part of the deal. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Service at the high tea buffet was a long way from attentive. The experience of queuing at a buffet for food that wasn’t particularly fresh left us feeling that the experience was not as special as other high teas available at similar establishment. There was absolutely no “wow’ factor, other than the setting.

Nice high tea experience, the live singer was lovely - the space seems very empty without her. Food was good with a decent selection of savoury and sweets.
