Wow. This was the highlight of my trip to Adelaide. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. I eat out a lot and do fine dining but I have never ever had an experience as amazing as this. For someone who can be fussy with food and going in blind without knowing what was on the menu, I thoroughly enjoyed each and every course.

The menu out of this world! This is place needs to be on your bucket list. The staff so friendly and knowledgeable. You need to experience this venue at least once if not twice in your life!

We didn’t particularly love the D’Arenberg wines so we opted out of the wine flight but found some very nice French alternatives by the glass to accompany the simply amazing food we were served. And the service was impeccable, very professional but relaxed and friendly.

Loved the whole experience here, it was great interacting with many different staff, rather than just one waiter the whole time, that was a great point of difference! The food was incredible and the quirky feel of the cube combined with the high end dining feel makes you feel comfortable the whole time. The staff really seemed to look after us and have our best interests in mind! Thanks heaps guys!

$10 entry into this kooky cube in the McLaren Vale which includes tasting of their wine list which includes 75 different wines. Entry is free if dining in the restaurant with 11 course degustation. We were told it would take 2.5-3 hrs to finish; it was closer to 4 hours. Excellent way to blow an afternoon in the McLaren Vale.

The head chef was super humble and generous to let us into his kitchen.

Food was absolutely amazing as was the matching wine international vs D'arenberg with generous pours. Service was great too.

About The d'Arenberg Cube Restaurant

No one will be able to top your weekend story if you visit the d’Arenberg Cube in McLaren Vale. Imagine a $15 million, five story Rubik’s cube, overlooking a vineyard, housing a restaurant inside. With sixty contemporary artworks, including installations where you find yourself squeezing bike horns to release the scent of winemaking, there’s a bit of Willy Wonka whimsy here. Embrace the unexpected. Once your appetite for the eclectic has been piqued, you’ll be ready to move seamlessly onto the food, which is imbued with the same imaginative playfulness as its surrounds. Diners are invited to try the seasonal degustation menu with wines to match. Visitors take note, this enchanting Cube also fulfils that most seminal of roles within the winery – it’s a cellar door where you can pick up a few bottles for the road!
