Was looking forward to going here for some time and it didn't disappoint. My fettuccine with porcini hazelnut butter emulsion was one of the best meals I had in a week of restaurants in Sydney. Great vibe we'll be back next visit to Sydney town.

We had a nice meal, but given the calibre of Italians in Surry Hills we did feel it was punching a little below its weight. Would have been nice to have had a veggie pasta option. Great wine and lovely service.

Love the Dolphin. One of my favourites. Food is always on point. Service wasn’t the best this evening. Got charged compulsory gratuity for a table of 6.

Really friendly. Food was great, wine was a reasonable price and service was cheerful and efficient. But it was, as is usual now, very noisy. So I don't call it fine dining because a lot of noise is not calming or pleasurable

Limited Pinot Noir - on the wine list under $80 and then we chose something that is out of stock.

About The Dolphin Hotel

Making a splash. This Surry Hills institution has undergone a complete makeover and interior designer George Livissianis has gone all white errthang. It’s a real art installation with crumpled white linen on the exposed brick walls. Walk through the three distinct spaces - the Dining Room, Wine Room and Public Bar with open-air terrace. Open for lunch and dinner 7 days, The Dolphin is a great spot to catch up with friends. The Modern Italian/Australian menu offers a Salumi cabinet and authentic pizzas such as the marina with no cheese. While the wine and beer list, created by James Hird, is extensive. Well, why are you still here? Get some friends together and head to The Dolphin now!
