The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was excellent. The pizza was great, seafood linguine was excellent and the swordfish was also excellent. Could not fault it.
Consistently good service and food, great wines on the list. This place is my regular go to for mid week and weekend dinners. Would recommend to anyone
The team and service were great and the food was epic. Always order the barrata.
Good food and ambience. The waiters were helpful and suggested vegetarian options. Will definitely visit again. We ordered burrata / bread and polenta sticks ( a bit heavy) and a pizza - all the food was good
Great spot. Light, bright and airy. Food was delicious, service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Great for a catch up with a variety of dishes, this relaxed local ticks all the boxes, and its cool enough without being exclusive. Limited for drinks choices outside of wine, beer but welcoming
Claudia was our superstar waitress, she was very attentive, funny and we took full advantage of her wine expertise. She truly made our night memorable! Thank you!
Service was extremely slow and the wait staff seemed overwhelmed at the start of the evening. We were told on arrival that we needed to vacate the table by 730 so to have no service for so long was pretty unreasonable
Loved it but it quite noisy
Great night, excellent service, food was well executed.
Service was disappointing. Little attention to detail even though it wasn’t very busy. Have been many times before although this visit was very underwhelming.
Food is not bad but for the price paid, should have been a lot better. Forgettable meal
Really good service, amazing aperitivo hour menu. Will definitely be back.
Found our waitstaff to be abrupt, impersonal and rather unpleasant.
Great place for a meal with good menu and very good, friendly service
It was a Monday night so there was no atmosphere but we had a great night and the food and service were wonderful.
went to the Dolphin for lunch. I've been a number of times previous to this and suggested it on this occasion. Food is always great!! But the service was really underwhelming this time. The staff need to smile a bit more and at least pretend that they enjoy their job...we really are not difficult to please.
Really friendly. Food was great, wine was a reasonable price and service was cheerful and efficient. But it was, as is usual now, very noisy. So I don't call it fine dining because a lot of noise is not calming or pleasurable
Really nice atmosphere and great service
Limited Pinot Noir - on the wine list under $80 and then we chose something that is out of stock.
412 Crown St, 2010, Surry Hills, Australia
Making a splash.
This Surry Hills institution has undergone a complete makeover and interior designer George Livissianis has gone all white errthang. It’s a real art installation with crumpled white linen on the exposed brick walls. Walk through the three distinct spaces - the Dining Room, Wine Room and Public Bar with open-air terrace.
Open for lunch and dinner 7 days, The Dolphin is a great spot to catch up with friends. The Modern Italian/Australian menu offers a Salumi cabinet and authentic pizzas such as the marina with no cheese. While the wine and beer list, created by James Hird, is extensive.
Well, why are you still here? Get some friends together and head to The Dolphin now!
