OK food and reasonably good value, especially if you are there for happy hour and the $5 beers and wines suit your palate.

Great pre-theatre option when attending the Seymour - but also a lovely space to have a drink and/or dinner with friends.

Great for a quick and tasty pre-theatre dinner. Just across the road from the Seymour centre

A lovely venue and a good meal. Just be aware of a limited set choice pre theatre, The booking info didn’t tell us that.

Dogs are allowed at this venue which is great! We wanted to come here for our monthly date night, and bring our dog. I called up on the day to check that dogs are still allowed and they said yes but you'll have to sit in the bar. Ok that's no problems. We turned up to find out that their kitchen is being renovated and that there were three mains on the menu, one of which was sold out. Our seats in the bar area were way too low for the table which felt awkward. I would have appreciated the staff telling me about the kitchen situation when I called up that day. We would have rescheduled otherwise.

Excellent food though a wider menu would be good. We had the Persian lamb salad, fish and chips, and pork and fennel sausage... all were excellent. Service was good, though they were busy so it could have been faster.

Very disappointed in the food offering, only a limited pretreatment menu (assumed all patrons going to the theatre). This place used to serve excellent pub food, but has really gone down hill. Very disappointing as this is a pub with great staff and great atmosphere

About The Duck Inn

Home Sweet Home An inner city pub with timber tables, quiet outdoor seating with umbrellas, craft beer on tap, comfy lounge chairs, book cases and nary a poker machine in sight? Welcome to The Duck Inn Pub & Kitchen. A local favourite, the Duck likes to shake things up with its succession of ‘nights’ including, Happy Hour Tuesdays to Saturday from 5pm till 7pm, Tuesday Night Trivia and Sunday roast special, available every Sunday until sold out. Kind of like going to the cosy home of a friend with better cooking skills than you and a well-stocked bar. In terms of the menu, there are plenty of pub favourites such as salt and pepper calamari – but it comes with smoked chilli aioli, and mustard-dressed salad leaves. Ditto the traditional bangers and mash which features Blackforest Smokehouse Cumberland sausages and creamy mash with onion jam and jus. Definitely a cut above your average pub fodder.
