The Excelsior Hotel

waited for a while at the podium to be seated. Had a booking but no table set up. A table was wiped and I was seated. No menu or cutlery provided. Had to take from another empty table. Food was nice. didn't have to wait long for food (but it was a quiet night). A Bistro staff member was wearing a hoodie jacket, wasn't sure if he was working or on break.

Steak was a little tough. No cocktail menu available. Had to wait quite a few minutes at entrance to be seated. Wasn't even acknowledged by staff walking past with meals etc. Friendly service though.

Compliments to the chef. All our meals which consisted of two steak meals, were cooked as requested, succulent melting in our mouths, as with the ribs meal. It is likened to winning a jackpot. The odds of finding great Aussie taka in a huge State is a bit like that. Acknowledgements to the two staff members for their undivided attention, affording us the pleasure of dinning out, on a cold winters night, not to mention being overshadowed by COVID 19.

Lovely welcoming staff, food was fast and fresh and nicely cooked. Service was fabulous. Typical pub grub, a great parma. We did have to sit in the sports bar to eat due to the numbers restrictions, and as I don't follow football it was a bit noisy for my liking. Not their fault, but it did limit my enjoyment of the evening.

There were only 7 other patrons there because of restrictions so it felt a little strange but everything otherwise was how it has been in the past. A quality establishment in every way.

Delicious food as always and at a decent price. The servings are decent as well. I Have members of my family who are vegan and vegetarian and prior to attending i contact the chef a few days earlier and he is always willing to cook something for my vegan family members. Much appreciated. . The other staff members are always helpful and courteous and this is why we keep returning to this bistro. .

The food is always delicious and never had a problem dining at this restaurant. The customer service is wonderful as well

Great service for new year's eve. Barman was a bit run off his feet, he stayed calm and relaxed, service girls were great too. Will definitely go again and soon.

Unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience. They were grossly understaffed so took a really long time to order and receive our meals. Meals were ok. Won’t be back.
