Love the indian fusion cuisine. Come here for an interesting twist om your favourites and even to try something new!
We visited Gan-jeez for the first time on recommendation from others( great food but the service is like faulty towers). We had to ask for a menu..Finally when our waiter arrived to take the order, the banquet wasn’t available so we had to choose other dishes. After a full bottle of wine, a very small cold entree arrived. Main meal very tasty and good quantity but a rice serving is in a cup. Too small. Will return again to give them another chance.
Great service and awesome food. Music turned off so restaurant was silent - need for ambiance but other than that was great!
‘Fabulous food and service. A favourite place for the family to enjoy Indian food with a modern flair. We keep retuning and are always delighted with the delicious meals..
Fantastic food which is presented beautifully! Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere!
Exciting food with great flavours
This meal and every meal we’ve had here since has been outstanding. The Gan-Jeez has quickly become a favourite of ours with their innovative take on Indian food. The taste explosions from the Bombay Chaat appetiser through to the Aloo Samosa ‘street eats’ and the Tandoori coconut prawn entree are deliciously sensational. Their curries and desserts round out the experience to keep you coming back for more of your favourites and to try everything else on offer. The wine list and cocktail menu are also top notch and you won’t be able to fault the great service. I highly recommend you don’t miss this neighbourhood gem.
Friendly staff and great food
Staff friendly and courteous ..food amazing
Went for dinner on Valentine's Day. Menu was am ambitious 14 courses with matching drinks... No options. Kitchen staff couldn't keep up and we left after almost 4 hours, even with a course skipped. All diners were getting bored and others got up and left early. Some of the courses were interesting and tasty, but others were a fail. The lamb in particular was not enjoyable. Some really odd drink choices too. Yes, I get that it's an Indian style restaurant, but curry spices don't actually work well with every type of spirit, and red wine, especially pinot rarely matches. I had no idea of the cost pp until standing up to pay. Was gobsmacked at the charge which was well into fine dining territory, but the food and drink was far, far from that level. I have been to this restaurant before and enjoyed the meal, but this latest experience was a total let down and I will not be back. The 14 courses was an overly- ambitious money grab that the staff couldn't pull off. Half the sdishes, half the price, and most of the diners would have walked away satisfied.
We had a great night here. Food was great and very well presented. Staff were attentive and friendly.
Di not accept the Dimmi booking - had no record of the booking. Very unhelpful and dismissive staff
The food and service were great, however we arrived early when there was hardly anyone there and had to wait quite a while for our food, obe dish had to be canceled as we were going to a show.
Service was very disappointing. They had overbooked so we did not have a table and had to wait. Staff were inexperienced and on many occasions just did not understand what was going on. No communication between staff and hence ended up having to repeat conversations. Great food, Good wine - but the whole experience spoilt by really amateur service.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and excellent service. Will visit again!!
The food and service were really good. The only improvement would be a note on their website stating they are fully licensed and do not allow BYO wine.
Very friendly atmosphere with great food and service.
Absolutely beautiful food presented beautifully and fabulous service Would highly recommend Can't wait to enjoy the whole experience again
Food, services, drinks all excellent! Must have a bigger noticeable, eyes catching sign from street
We had a fantastic Indian fusion lunch at GAN-Jeez. The food was delicious and interesting and inexpensive. The young couple who run the business we’re extremely professional and helpful. The restaurant is roomy and pleasant. There is plenty of parking. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Fantastic food! Everything was delicious and cant wait to go vack!
Food and presentation was good, specially Dal Makhani. Nice addition to the list to Indian Restaurant in Canberra.
I used a voucher which made it really cheap. Fusion with lots of originality.
Need better staff training
All the food was great except the desserts.
Awesome service. Awesome food. Naan bread was the best I have ever eaten and super fresh right out of oven.
Definitely a hidden gem of Canberra! The food was amazing, highly recommend to try. I would say this is the best Indian food I have had in Canberra.
Food was excellent and equalled by the service
