Went here for lunch on a Saturday. Loved the new interior of the restaurant, we ordered plates to share, scallops, pipis, octopus, gnocchi, ragu & the lamb, pipis were the clear favourite but none of the others dissappointed. Would definitely recommend and come back.

In both its current form and previous (as The Australian Youth Hotel), the restaurant and kitchen here continue to be absolutely first rate. The food was beautifully cooked, the service excellent (as usual) and a good wine list. And you get the historic charm of one of Sydney's oldest pubs. Highly recommended - 10/10.

Have been hanging for The Glebe (AYH) restaurant to reopen. Nice renovation which has not taken away too much from the original charm . Some changes on the menu with not as many choices but great food, the rib eye was perfect. Excellent friendly service will also keep us coming back.

We occasionally visit just for the Steak and Guinness Pie - unfortunately the latest incarnation on the new menu was very disappointing. Otherwise the renovation looks great, as is the service.

It used to be a neighbourhood gem with the best food menu in town however since the renovation it's amended it's menu too and it's rather disappointing. Worth a visit if your in the area but not a 'standout' anymore.

For those with the love of Guinness you can’t go past the Steak & Guinness pie, buttered greens, mash & gravy washed down with Sydney’s best pint of Guinness. For a more refined meal, the heritage listed stables bar and dining offers waited service with some of Sydney’s best gastro pub food. Start with a shared plate of Crisp lamb belly, torched baby gem, salsa verde or Octopus, kipfler, chilli & citrus butter, Bloody Mary aioli and why not wash that down with a glass of fruit driven Nick O’Leary Riesling served in twinkling glass ware. For the meat lovers you can’t go past their signature ‘mixed grill for two’ or one of their char grill steaks notably the 200g wagyu rump cap, rocket, watercress & pickled eschalot, hand cut chips and your choice of house made sauces. Alternatively you may like to try the a Berkshire pork chop, caramelized fennel, pickled mustard caviar, fennel salad or one of their market fresh fish or grill specials. With a hay loft above the dining room for private functions for up to 30 persons and a leafy beer garden open 7 days for lunch and dinner, The Glebe Hotel continues its heritage as a very, very good pub dining experience.
