9/10Very nice meal for a birthday. Staff were welcoming even though we were there immediately at the evening opening. Caring service and the food was excellent. Undoubtedly come back again if the opportunity arises.

10/10How wonderful to come to a restaurant that the staff are so genuine in their welcoming and happy to be there and with true passion for their work. Food and drinks are top shelf but prices are not, how good is this !!!

7/10The staff were really friendly and attentive, nice venue. Food was a little disappointing for the price, (most dishes we had were a bit oily) but otherwise a good night

7.8/10We weren’t drinking so it was a cheap nite out. We’ve always loved the Grand to celebrate birthdays, but it just isn’t the same without Branco and Alex, they’d always welcome us back like old friends. And haven’t seen Kristy around either. The Antipasto plate used to be so much better with more meat selection, where’s the braesola? And if 5 ppl why not add an extra slice of meat and charge a bit more? And where is the marinated eggplant and the grissini sticks? Less product at the same price, nah not what it used to be. The main courses and desserts were still the same, but it’s lost some of its sparkle without old friends.

9/10We love the consistency of the Grand, food is always of an excellent standard, generous portions, great service, and soft furnishings allow for conversations to be had without yelling. We love it!!

8.5/10Still benchmark after all these years. Larger than usual portions at every price point. Wine list still fascinating. A respite from the world.

7.5/10The building looks like it's falling apart on the out4but once inside, the Restaurant looks quite nice. The waiting staff were keen to serve but not well trained. The food (a la carte) was quite nice.

7.5/10I have been to the Grand many times , last night must have been an off night as service was well below usual standard , waiting staff seemed rushed and were neglectful. Food was good but not up to usual standard the duck particularly was disappointing In all not one of he better nights at the Grand

9.8/10We had a light dinner of two courses this time. The tiger prawn for starter was really fresh and tasty. The mushroom risotto was great too. For wine, we chose the wild duck creek red which was magnificent. Service was very good too. I am really pleased that the Grand keeps its very high standard.

This institution in the heart of Richmond in the beautiful Grand Hotel serves fine dining, award winning Italian cuisine. Crisp linen adorns the wooden fine furnishings and subtle artworks are a feature in the room. This is a place that has won many awards including restaurant of the year (Trip Advisor) and is a beautiful place to bestow a gift voucher to a loved one for that perfect gift. If you don't feel like the full dining experience but would rather a cocktail or an elegant glass of wine, catch up with friends in the very chic lounge bar with its amazing beer garden, boasted to be the best in Melbourne, and listen to well-known local DJs on the weekends. Monday night is Italian night, or if you fancy sampling the duck then Wednesday's is Duck & Pinot night in the public bar. Make sure you book so as to not miss out!
