Lovely place for a girls dinner. A bit noisy inside due to the floor boards but luckily we were seated near the back door so it wasn’t too much of an issue. Food was great. All the food (entree’s and mains) cake all at once which was a bit unusual. We were asked to leave at 10pm which we thought was a bit early in a Thursday evening especially as our food didn’t arrive until 9pm. Overall a great night and we would come back again.

We both have the food 6/10. The service was pretty shocking. I actually don’t think they are trained. When handing you the food there are no smiles or conversation. I certainly would go here again for the food or service again but possibly to have a drink and play bowls or for the view. It could be so much better with effort.

Menu is a bit strange, including the fusion of flavors that it tries to mix in an effort to be “creative”. Eg. The sweet potato with the striploin steak was too sweet with the syrup gravy. I would rather the chef focus on doing favourite pub classics such as salt and pepper calamari, tacos, seafood spaghetti/ linguini, classic ceasar salad etc. The classic beef burger was great, simply for that. Nice outdoor environment to relax in good weather.

Food menu was a bit lacking for vegetarians. Obviously we knew that coming in, but strange to think in this day and age. We also ordered a Lamb Shoulder and salads and they were fantastic. Great ambiance outdoors as well. Wish the live music would have gone past 7.30pm though.

Food was all really nice (ratatouille tart, sumac chicken, grilled haloumi salad, jerk chicken salad, chocolate bar dessert) Had live music which was a bonus. Seems you need to order the whole meal at once (incl. dessert) or it messes with their system if you’re there on a 50% Fork deal.

Great food, very welcoming and friendly staff in relaxed atmosphere. Make sure to save room for dessert. This place is normally reasonably priced but with a 50% discount proved excellent value!

Good deal gained 50% off food. Meal was tasty the portion size was a big lean. Drinks are lightly carbonated. Great atmosphere overlooking the greens.

Food was fresh and very good. We bought our baby along and staff were very accommodating of our needs. Lively and vibrant atmosphere with nice views of the city scape.

They didn’t have the juice I wanted, and the sweet potato cakes were inedible because they were so heavily flavoured with cinnamon (not sure why they’d put cinnamon in it at all!). My husband liked his tacos though.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Very kid friendly too. The meat dishes to share are absolutely delicious and generous in portion size. Would highly recommend

It is not value for money. The quality of the food is not good. The restaurant is very loud. Out side is very nice and there was live music. I would not go for lunch again but drinks would be nice.

The place is over priced and the food is not even good. The fish was over cooked, dry and tasted like chicken. The restaurant is very noisy and feel like a fast food restaurant with expensive price tags.

About the restaurant

Being the second oldest bowls club in NSW, North Sydney Bowls Club underwent renovations in 2014 and has rejuvenated something old, and brought it back to life. The Bowlo has been reborn as a beautiful, breezy garden with jaw dropping views! There’s palm trees, light open spaces and vintage photographs adorning the walls. The once grim club is now an urban oasis. On a sunny day, the rustic garden is the perfect place to sit and relax. Not your standard bowls club, the menu focuses on a variety of dining experience including substantial salads, daily market fresh fish and share plates. The Greens is an up and coming destination for a casual meal with the family and friends, special functions or corporate events. Pop down for the food, the view, the drinks, a game of bowls - or all of the above.
