The staff weren’t expecting us due to a glitch in the online booking platform but were quick to make us a table up and were polite and accommodating. The service was a bit slow at times but the food was excellent and overall good value for money. Great view when sitting on the balcony, even saw a dolphin or two. Would recommend for sure... an extensive menu too
On arrival the staff were very welcoming. We were seated in the back corner of the restaurant but the restaurant was very busy so thats probably why. The food was very good and so was the quick service. Easy to check into and out of using the QR code. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Although the steak was pretty good, the service was terrible. Despite booking online, they did not have us booked in and we ended up on a back table in the blaring sun. We then had to ask for some service just to get a drink. You're paying premium prices for an average experience.
Fantastic. Food was really nice. View was amazing. Some good options for vegetarians. Staff were friendly and food was promptly served Great selection of wine and cocktails. Will definitely go back
My steak was cooked medium rare perfectly. More than one stick of asparagus would have been nice. Very nice red wine. Overall I would rate the meal 4/5. Good service and worthy of another visit.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They name every effort to ensure we were comfortable and were able to benefit from the views. The food was fantastic. Would definitely recommend the Grill.
Quality of food was amazing and lovely outlook. The complimentary bread was a nice touch too. Staff were friendly and pleasant and we were greeted with a warm welcome
We had a wonderful evening celebrating our 34th Wedding Anniversary. The staff had placed decorations and chocolates on our table, which was a lovely surprise! Our food was delicious and the service was friendly, courteous and prompt. Highly recommend
Just need to have the table placements between the window and the balcony fixed up, had a great view of the people on the other side of the glass eating dinner. Otherwise, great place.
We asked for a table outside, we were told there were none available even if we booked the day before, so we got the table by the wall. None of the wine we wanted was available, they said they ran out of the Merlot. The food was ok, definitely not the best I’ve had. I had the waguy beef, my partner had the chicken and lamb ribs. You really just go there for the view. Might need to book a few weeks in advance if you want to make you sure you get a table outside.
The welcoming was a ok but if felt like we where a pain for asking for one more chair The shanks we ordered was ordinary to much sauce a garnish of sauce would been better instead the shsnks being drowned The prawns on the steak was not cooked all way through. The services was great couldnt fault them they where always around checking on us asking how the meal was. The cleaniness of the balcony couldve been better. Eg spider webs and you couldnt open a window for extra air The prawns on my
An average experience with hits and misses. We initially had a wonky table and the staff attempted to steady it by placing napkins under one side but was ineffective so we were offered another table and were left to move ourselves. It was smaller & stable and against a window with diners seated against the window inside the restaurant - was a little offputting. A lightning storm was great to watch over the water but when the blinds were rolled down due to rain it blocked the airflow and became a bit steamy. The rib eye was delicious and cooked medium as requested but the prawns for the surf & turf were small and tasteless. My extra side of sauteed mushrooms came in a separate bowl, as did the steamed veg ordered by my dining partner. My dining partner had beef ribs which he said were fall of the bone delicious but the chicken was dry in the meat combo. Drinks were good and brought out quickly. Service was attentive but not overly friendly. Not sure I'd hurry back again but it was ok.
I booked this restaurant for my birthday, to try something new. The food was nice, and I can’t fault it. The service was slow. We ordered drinks and the took a while to come out. We ordered a second lot of drinks half way through our meal, they never came. I wouldn’t say it was packed, so not sure why slow service. My husband went to the toilet and said it was dirty, and had to walk past where they stored oil. The venue has so much potential, it’s one of the only restaurants right on the water. Needs a good overhaul.
There was only one waiter and a trainee serving. We were sitting for 30minutes before our order for drinks was taken. 2 of us wanted lobster but the kitchen had already made them all mornay. Too bad if you can’t eat cheese. We were not approached to ask if we needed more drinks or if all was ok with our meal. Overall service was poor and not as we had previously experienced. Food was quite good. Decor could do with an upgrade
Enjoyed our meal and view. Will go back again.
The food was good. The staff were welcoming at arrival. There seemed to be lots of them on duty but they didn't seem to have any kind of system for knowing who was servin/interacting with our group. Our order was taken in a timely manner. We were disappointed that it took more than an hour to get our meals and that no one came to let us know how things were going during that time.
Great food, location and friendly staff
The steak wasn’t a nice cut & a little burnt. The fish was crispy but a little dry (and so was the rice). Service staff were pleasant & restaurant had a nice & relaxing atmosphere.
Celebrated a birthday at The Grill this evening. Was so looking forward to having their Lobster, both my friend and I ordered the lobster. It was absolutely delicious served with scrumptious chips, salad and vegetables including asparagus. Hubby had the 300gr Angus steak with mushroom sauce, he said the steak melted in his mouth, can’t get better than that. Then my friend and I shared the baked cheesecake, it was most enjoyable. Will recommend and go again, hopefully for a clear night for the sunset,
Fantastic meal, well presented, lovely staff. We live local and will be back soon. Meal sizes are very filling. Wonderful flavour , great and diverse meals. Thanks.
