I’ve come to this little wine bar so many times with my girlfriends and really enjoyed it, so I immediately thought of it as a cosy place for date night. The food was amazing and great for sharing (I do miss the grazing boards at the moment but there were lots of great alternatives). The service was great and it’s a sweet, non pretentious atmosphere. It did feel maybe a little bit bright but otherwise we loved everything and will be back.
First time back because of the Covid Pandemic!! Was so wonderful to be back at the Hunter! Received a warm welcome and the food/wine was just as fabulous as always! We’ve been dozens of times and never had a bad meal!! Love the idea of multiple share plates!! Great atmosphere and a lovely position on Mosman Square.
So good to see our favourite wine bar back in action!
The food was really good, service was really quick. Would have liked to have been put in the front but none the less happy about the experience as a whole.
Divine food and wine and a lovely place to meet a friend or a small group. Very nice atmosphere and sweet service from the girls. We've been many times and will keep going.
Food was great, cocktails and wine awesome and nice atmosphere. They didn’t receive my reservation but luckily there was a table free so maybe call in advance.
Delish wine and food options. Great service and easy seating and table options.
Perfect local gem
I always enjoy my visit to The Hunter but as usually happens that my booking is mixed up and we have to be seated up the back where the lighting and atmosphere isn't the same even though the tables near the windows are not all reserved. Probably best not to reserve a table in future and might get a better table.
Always a really lovely place to go
Good gluten free options Nice food Service not great. Chased 5 times for water and needed to get attention each time. Poor service really let them down
We went there for our daughter’s birthday. The service was excellent, so we could really enjoyed the night.
Another lovely evening in our local gem.
A favourite of mine
Needs to work on their atmosphere, music and correct details on the menu as several items were wrong/incorrectly marked gluten free when they weren’t and did not offer gluten free on said items. Yummy food! Yummy cocktails! Very small but cute!
As always, just the best!!
Good local spot.
The Hunter board is worth trying paired with a good wine. Nice chill out place
We had a group of 7 and had a wonderful time and great service. Its always a good choice
Badly needed neighbourhood gem. Food was lovely and seasonal.

South Africa comes to Mosman
This could easily become your favourite local, just you wait and see. Expanding out onto the fountain square shared by Fourth Village in Mosman Hunter Wine Bar has an intimate community feel to it. The interior was inspired by a trip to South Africa however the bar itself is not a South African bar. Make sense? Think vines hanging from a canvas roof, stone, wood and swinging safari lanterns. The menu consists of exciting, innovative morsels such emu sliders and wild boar little dogs. For those squirming at the thought of emu, fear not, there’s also a few safer options like baked pumpkin, torn polenta wedges and slow roast pork hock. So whether you’re an adventurous eater or not, The Hunter Wine Bar is sure to have a dish and drink that you'll love.
Best dish: slow roast pork hock, sticky braised cabbage and potato mash or torn polenta wedges with tomato chilli jam
