The food was beautiful and fresh. My only complaint was I booked online and when we got there they wanted to put us in the Wine Room which didn't have the variety on the menu like the Food Hall but we were lucky that they could squeeze us in the main room in the end.

After ordering our lunch the waiter returned and told 3 of us there were no parma’s left! They weren’t busy and what pub has no parma’s anyway! Then when ordering coffees were told there was no soy, what pub has no soy! Staff and the food that was provided was fine.

Always a local favourite - can guarantee good service, food and drinks. Have been many times. Have good specials on certain nights. Right next door to Newport train station.

Absolutely fantastic. An absolute gem in Newport, and such a great location for drinks and dinner before an event at The SUBSTATION. Conveniently located beside the train station. Will be a regular now!

We had the steak night special - $18 T-bone steak and drink and everyone's steaks were cooked perfectly. Desserts also delicious. Great value. Will be back.

Bustling neighbourhood pub. Good food. Service in the Beer Hall a bit underwhelming; and quite noisy. Will try the Wine Room again next time.
