6/10Very new staff not yet trained. Unopened wine put on table for us to pour. 2 steaks went back overdone. Potatoes def not duck fat. Lamb was lovely. Forgotten drinks. Disappointing when last year was excellent. We are appreciative of current staff climate however both areas of kitchen and FOH need much refinement.

3.5/10Service was slow and the food dry. It was as though my pasta was waiting under the heater for my husband's meal to be cooked. I couldn't eat it. The lamb was very dry and pasta hard. We were staying in the Mantra but didn't return back for another meal. We also requested another drink but they forgot when we went to pay.

6/10Staffing is currently a problem, which may have impacted the speed of table service. However, when we had their attion the people were friendly and helpful. However, as a restaurant with a focus on steaks, the scotch fillet was more well done than the requested medium rare. Acceptable food, not exceptional.

6.5/10The restaurant was very busy and extremely noisy our waitress was lovely and the food very nice ,but our booking was at 6.30 we all had the specials shared menu our mains arrived at 8.45 very slow !! We were given a nice bowl of potatoes no charge as an apology. The wine was very good We were a table of 5 and had a good night ,but it would have been better if our food arrived sooner

6/10Breakfast at The Larder was excellent and the service was great. Dinner was disappointing as the service dropped off markedly probably due to less staff. Serving sizes were very small for the fish of the day. Sides very good. However I ordered the prawn linguine and the pasta was terrible, glued together and stuck to the plate, not sure that it was cooked fresh, and the serving size was very small. The prawns were very salty! Disappointing because the price was high for the quantity and quality served! In hindsight I should have sent it back to the kitchen! A shame because the ambience of this restaurant is nice!

6.5/10Nice food, service a bit lack lustre. Atmosphere was ok although we dined early and lots of hungry kids in the dining room. Dined using my accor plus card which made the prices good value for what was served. Would not pay full price here, better value and quality in other restaurants in town.

10/10The food was really good.. And really good atmosphere. Try to get a table near the fire place if it's a cold night.

10/10We have dined at the Larder before, but this time was ever so slightly different. We were encouraged to sit outside undercover as the ambiance was really nice and it was, it was lovely, we could hear the waves from the beach, and there was music playing outside. The food was just delicious, the food is always great. The service was just impeccable

4.5/10The restaurant was busy tonight. Service was slow. We ordered drinks and our meals came out before our drinks. We kindly asked the waiter if our drinks were ready but he just brushed us off with they are being prepared now. The food was really small portions from our entrees to our deserts. The arancini balls were the smallest I’ve ever seen and the tiramisu was even smaller. Overall we disappointed

5.5/10The menu looks expensive, so we expected a reasonable quality. Well, we ordered 3 different dishes, and they all were terribly salty. Disappointing.

6/10It was disappointing that COVID had reduced the ability for this place to really shine. Not their fault. My meal although very tasty, I was very shocked to see that I had been given my steak and only 3-small baby tomatoes, and a very small onion halved... That's it! Nothing else, the description on the menu didn't mention that was all that it came with and the menu didn't elaborate that you should order anything... Again the steak was very nice- but pricy for what I received.

9.5/10Great service with a smile and delicious food for the family. Warm comfortable environment out of the hustle and bustle of the Main Street Lorne.

7.5/10For the prices charged we were expecting something a little more upmarket and fo rthe steaks ot be cooked to order - medium rare is not medium. The starters were definitely much better value for money than the main courses - for example, $45 for 4 lamb cutlets and half an onion. Sides are $7 each (a 3cm wide wedge of pumpkin with whipped ricotta or a chopped off bunch of broccolini chargrilled). Service is attentive.
