The meal was excellent, the only let down to our experience was that we had to wait over an hour for the meal to come.

We were over the Northside with the kids & I’m glad I booked in the place for dinner, great area for our dinner drinks & the food was beautiful. The best rib eye on the bone I have had, absolutely amazing. Hubby had the ribs which were good the only thing that could have been improved was the slider rolls for my boy were quite firm & hard to eat. I would certainly return

Well for pub grub it certainly didn’t disappoint. The service was friendly and helpful. We started with the share board and to say that it was a great selection is an understatement. The Bruscetta , pork belly, meat balls, karage chicken and salad was all fresh and tasty. Then for mains had the rib and rump, sauce of peppercorn and mash and greens. Well cooked nice serves and filling. I recommend this place highly. Thanks hotel la.

We started with the garlic bread, which was really nice but very salty. My husband had the rib fillet which he was very happy with and the chips were excellent. Would be good for a side. I had the Atlantic Salmon which was very nice but I would not have the rice noodle again. For desert I had the Cheesecake which was awful. It's the first almost solid cheesecake I've ever had and I left most of it.

Service from our waitress (Charne) was excellent. We ordered 2off the OP rib on the bone, 1kg porky's rack, share board combo one, garlic bread plus additional serve of garlic butter greens for party of six. The standout meal was the porky's ribs with meat almost falling off the bone smothered with a delicious sauce but was let down by the accompanying coleslaw served as a side. The OP rib was a bit hit and miss as one of them was a bit sinewy / chewy whilst the other one was tender but somewhat lacking in flavour when eaten without the opted accompanying sauce. Share board combo was good but have had better karaage chicken (over salted and not super crispy) elsewhere; pork belly was sensational. Similarly, the chips were phenomenal. Generous serves and good value with the 30% discount via the fork. Restaurant was relatively empty but a few private functions on at the time which would have stretched the kitchen staff.

0, No flexibility with any items on the menu, they can't cater to my needs. I left hungry & angry, won't be coming back. Extremely disappointing.

Always nice to visit this restaurant as it has a nice atmosphere about it. After out and about in the sun all day, it was refreshing to pop in for a cold beer and some side dishes before starting a hearty lunch. There’s a good selection for the lunch menu which is unusually for a lot of pub, but this is not just a pub but rather a proper restaurant style dining. Very please with the dishes, the 500g pork ribs was very tender and the juicy meat fell of the bone which was delicious, the salad and chips side dishes was portioned generously. We left satisfied with all the meals. My only negative comment was the waiting time for the dishes but it was busy therefore it’s understandable. Thank you to the team at Lord Alfred.

The wait staff were friendly and efficient and attentive. Even the chef had a welcoming chat. Good selection of dishes. Atmosphere of dining are was inviting. Our meals arrived quite quickly. Were presented well and tasted great. No problems receiving the 50% reduction in the bill. We would be happy to recommend this venue to others and to return ourselves.
