9/10The food and service were excellent the only problem was our order “got lost” so we waited nearly an hour for our 1st course but they did comp us some water as we requested to compensate for the inconvenience.

7/10For a first visit, the food and service did not disappoint. The food is quality over quantity, for an upmarket steak house the kitchen staff present plates well. Entrees, mains, and desserts are served with enough time for you not to be overwhealmed to eat quickly. The wait staff are courteous and consistent at your services needs and queries. My waitress recommend on how the steak is cooked on how thick the meat was, which is important so you get what you're paying for (Wait staff, ask how the food is after you're done eating, not when you are trying to eat, which is incredibly annoying and rude I compliment them for that). The entree (Bruschetta) was one of the better ones served in Canberra restaurants and wasn't filling but satisfying at the same time. The main (400g eye fillet) served with a side of veal jus and a side of really well cooked steak chips, one side of (truffle mac & cheese) complimented the meal nicely. The steak was cooked beautifully (medium/rare) and did not disappoint. The desserts (creme brulee and sticky date cake) we're fantastic and a nice way to end a fantastic meal. They weren't heavy and didn't make you feel stuffed. Overall, it is a satisfying steakhouse that makes me want to return to try other menu options.

9.5/10We celebrated our son’s 40th birthday. Just a small group. The food was great. Prices are quite high but expected with fine dining. Unfortunately we had a few delays of some dishes for our table which were not really acceptable. Apologies given but no discount or anything else Offered to compensate. Disappointing when it’s a special occasion.

10/10Wow, this place was beyond our expectations. Excellent food topped off by attentive, happy, friendly staff. We shared the mixed ribs, lamb kebab, several side dishes and the dessert share plate. Perfect

8.5/10We were excited to be visiting The Meat and Wine Co, but our meal wasn't quite as good as we thought. We ordered the Wagyu Rump (Marble Score 6+) 500g. The steak was nice, but it definitely didn't look or taste like a marble score 6+ steak. Very disappointing.

10/10Fantastic steak. Salmon on a skewer also superb as per my companions. Love the fact that each main comes with a side (chips or salad), but sides big enough for two, so suggest one diner gets the chips and the partner gets the salad!

8/10it was disappointed that we were not greeted immediately when we walked in to the restaurant. We were waiting quite a bit long. Otherwise the food was good. The waitress explained well on the questions we have. Will definitely come back
