    Our family of six went there for dinner to celebrate our son's Birthday. The atmosphere is excellent (could hear each other talking). The food was sublime, well worth a visit

    Great atmosphere, very friendly and knowledgeable waiter, who was very attentive. My only grudge would be the blue cheese and red wine sauces didn’t have much flavour- needed to be stronger. I would highly recommend eating the wagyu steak special and the pannacotta for dessert.

    The service leaves a lot to be desired. Our table was not ready (at the booked time) and we were asked to wait at the bar or to return back in another 10-15minutes. We ordered pre-dinner drinks at the bar and after taking our order the lady proceeded to take another order and serve those customers first. This same party continued to add to their order and she continued to serve them completing ignoring us and as a result, we didn't get our predinner drinks. I could not believe it. When raised with management they too were blaze about it...an extremely disappointing experience.

    Really great steak, 400g rib-eye on the bone, dry aged medium rare. Absolute perfection. Generously portioned sides. Wine list is excellent but quite pricey. I just had a glass of Pinot Noir which was fabulous.

Internationally renowned The Meat & Wine Co have brought their spectacular steakhouse to Sydney Harbour. And not just that, they’ve raised the bar of intimacy and sophistication inside the lobby of Sydney’s iconic, heritage listed Intercontinental Hotel. Contemporary interiors with subtle African influences give the restaurant an unmistakable uniqueness. Expect rustic wooden walls, original arched windows, luxurious leather seating and stone features; the ideal setting to feast over business or pleasure. At The Meat & Wine Co, there’s plenty of South African flavour and meats galore. Monte is the premium line of beef exclusive to the restaurant, sourced from only premium breeders of the highest quality Angus cattle, reared and grazed on selected farms throughout Australia. If you’re serious about meat, a Monte premium cut will be at the top of your list. It’ll be grilled to your liking and served with an obligatory helping of crunchy chips. If you prefer gamier meat, then don’t go past the kangaroo fillet marinated in native bush spice (you’ll have to trust us). Otherwise, there’s a range of burgers, ribs, mixed skewers, seafood and vegetarian dishes. Even the kiddies are taken care of!
