he Moor’s Head is the colloquial name given to the top of the still used to make Arak – the aniseed drink native to Lebanon. Why did we name our restaurant this? Well we could tell you some fairytale of how we watched our grandfathers distil arak in the backyard when we were kids, but…in truth we just love drinking arak and think “The Moor’s Head” is a cool name. So pop in and see what happens when two Arabs who love pizza and Middle Eastern flavours decide to combine the two to create a new spin on one of Melbourne’s favourite foods. You might also get to love arak as much as we do.
