Fabulous
Super friendly staff and great service, good atmosphere with the music and lighting. The food was divine and scrumptious. Overall, our experience at the Morrison was lovely.
Great find for us in Sydney. Prompt friendly service, good quality food at fairly reasonable prices. Will certainly recommend this restaurant to friends visiting Sydney.
We came here before with friends and enjoyed the bar atmosphere and eating at the restaurant out the back. However, on this visit the restaurant was closed and the bar ambience seemed flat. Unfortunately, although the food was good, the main meal took 45 mins to arrive and we had to chase it up, which isn’t acceptable. Maybe due to lack of staff on a Tuesday, but given the tables we’re all full, this seems more like bad planning than a one off.
We have been to The Morrison before and really enjoyed it. However, our food this past weekend was really disappointing. We started with 6 oysters - 2 of each type available that night. Unfortunately, most of them were shucked poorly and contained shells (haven’t had this problem here previously). Additionally two of them were bad and tasted very very fishy. I’ve never had a bad oyster before but now I know and will be much more cautious in the future. Ack! I had also purchased one for the Lunar New Year special cocktails and it was very sweet and did not taste like an alcoholic drink. Lastly, my husband and I both had pasta dishes and they were way too buttery and lacked flavor. Last time I was their I had the same dish and enjoyed it so something was off. The tartare was good, and our other three cocktails of the night were nice! Sadly, I don’t think we’ll be back after this experience (not worth the risk/cost) and we’re a little disappointed because this was a go to spot for us on date night.
Lovely
Really loved the food and service. Treasure hidden in the city. Must visit when you are in town. Seafood at it’s finest. Good for an evening of fun.
Had to wait about 20/30 minutes for a second round of oysters. Salmon salad was salty. Brisket was overcooked for my liking but decent. Martini was way too sweet.
Welcoming and friendlly staff but they never refilled our glasses of water. It would be better to have s carafe on the table. The food was very disappointing. Only a few mussels and too buttery.. The steak was extremely thin, they
Gabrielle was the most professional, courteous and knowledgeable waiter that I’ve met in a long time in a a Sydney venue. He was fantastic and courteous and knew about all the dishes and the venues history. Food was fantastic as were the drinks! Thank you
Great spot for a girls lunch. Porchetta was delicious! Others weren't as happy with their meal choice but it's a very good menu with lots to choose from!
First time to dine here with my husband and our son and we weren't disappointed. The oysters were fresh, succulent and delicious and so were the mains we ordered. I particularly loved the crispy skin trout I had and the parmesan cabbage side salad the wait staff recommended. Service was good. The atmosphere very friendly. We will be back definitely to try the other dishes on the menu.
Great food and services was very good
This place was supposed to be a fine dining oyster bar. It had kids who don’t care waiting on and zero customer service or care.
good meal and excellent daily deals
Great atmosphere , good service and good food! We had oysters for entree and they were delicious, two of us had the rainbow trout which was cooked to perfection and the accompanying salad was also delicious! However, the mussels that my other girlfriend ordered were a little bit over cooked which was a shame?? Overall experience was good??
Great Service - very attentive. Pasta had a bit too much butter in it....
Food not particularly special
Hard to get staffs attention at the back. Food was delicious though!
Service was amazing even if it was hard to get their attention sometimes. Oysters are super fresh and the crab pasta was super rich!
Delicious food, great drinks, excellent service. This is my special occasion go to restaurant and bar! The oysters are fresh and tasty!

Oyster lovers unite! The team at The Morrison are serving these little gems with classic vinegar & lemon. This is the perfect spot for a tipple and some delish gastropub dishes with friends after work. We love the beef and lamb ragout as well as the yorkshire pudding and pulled duck! Yum!
Best dish: Beef & Lamb Ragout.
