10/10Very friendly welcome and attentive service. Food was fantastic, beef burgundy was so delicious and love the selection of vegetables that have been cooked beautifully with a bit of crunch.

10/10Every aspect of our dining experience was very satisfactory. My female guest enjoyed her lad''s selection of Porterhouse steak, although finding the portion too much for her appetite. I found the wagyu steak to be very well cooked but wouldn't pay extra for this cut of meat again. Otherwise our dinner was very satisfactory.

All In the Family
There's a reason The Olive Tree has been around in South Melbourne since 1971. Simple, honest Italian food – that's what keeps patrons coming back. Tucked away on Park Street not far from Domain Interchange, The Olive Tree has charm in abundance with its brick-lined walls and the light streaming in through the front window. For a romantic date, dinner with friends, or a special occasion, The Olive Tree offers something for everyone. The menu is bursting with classics. Go for the oysters, smoked Tasmanian salmon, fried calamari or barbeque octopus to start. Patrons rave about the pasta dishes, which are simple but full of flavour. Choose from vegetarian penne or fettuccine with shrimps, scallops, mussels, calamari, prawns and fish. Whether you're in the mood for something from the grill, a traditional veal parmigiana or beef burgundy, there's a solid selection for mains, too. If you're looking for a meal that will truly warm you up, head to The Olive Tree. This family-owned restaurant is sure to treat you like you're part of the family too.
