Lovely food. It was a *hot* night but the restaurant was lovely with the sea breeze flowing through. Japanese sea scallops were delicious. Thanks. I’ll be back
Great spot on beach. We had the tuna tataki, the assorted meat plate, blistered peppers and great bread. Each was excellent. Waitstaff was polite and responsive. Would definitely come back.
Such a wonderful place, view is perfect and staff friendly. Great venue to take visitors. But don’t go there on a hot day as there is no air conditioning.
Love the setting of The Pantry, particularly if you visit as a couple and get a window seat. Food good without being a wow, fresh with good choice between seafood and steaks and a strong and not crazily priced wine and drinks list.
The Pantry is my family's favourite Manly restaurant. It ticks all the boxes, great food, service and setting. The tapas style menu is amazing.
Magnificent views of the beach - infact I think there are no other restaurants located as close to the beach near the Corso as this one. Food was delicious too.
The food is always delicious, my dad’s steak was cooked to perfection as always. He chooses the Pantry each year for his birthday dinner while he’s visiting us from the UK. The views and atmosphere are fantastic and the service is friendly and efficient.
Great view great food great service
Overpriced for the quality of food. Food not as good as described on menu carte. Overrated recommendations. Too hot, too many tables squished together.
The food here is exceptional. Probably the best menu in Manly and a spectacular wine list too. Wonderful location. Great romantic date for sundown dinner over the beach
Awesome experience! We’ll be back...
One of our favourite spots! Quality of food is excellent! Best view in Manly.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while - well worth it - great food menu - great wine list - great service - My only thoughts on reflection was the price per plate is slightly on the high side otherwise I would rate the place even higher
If this were our first time at The Pantry we would not return. So disappointing to book a particular table for a special birthday lunch and then get excuses about why it wasn't available yet we were not informed about this prior to our arrival. To add insult to injury, 5 tables that were seated after us, all received food before our order was even taken. It was as though, seated in a corner near the toilet, we'd been forgotten. When our entrees arrived, the salt and pepper calamari was stone cold (it was meant to be hot). To be fair, our mains were good and arrived in a timely fashion and the calamari was replaced with a freshly cooked and hot redo. However, the chocolate cheesecake dessert not only looked odd (large scoop of gelatinous "cheesecake" on what looked like a commercially-bought icy-cold pie casing, surrounded by sliced strawberries) but it tasted rancid and was inedible. When the manager was called she was apologetic although a bit defensive and she did try to remedy an unfortunate situation. We've been dining at The Pantry for several years but perhaps it's become a victim of its own success and can no longer maintain the standard it once achieved.
The restaurant was very busy with a queue of people waiting for a table or being turned away. After being seated we had an excellent experience. The sea scallop risotto and the fish and chips were both excellent. You could not have a better view from a restaurant window.
Very welcoming and friendly, super attentive throughout the meal. The quality of the steak is always excellent here 10/10. Would recommend for service, food and views.
Great view, food but the staff members appear rushed and not engaging. The noise also can get quite intense here when full. Overall still the food makes it worth the spend.
What a view! We enjoyed a great lunch here - so many staff and the food fabulous. Smaller space than expected, but that was a good thing! Will definitely return
The Pantry is a must stop on every visit to the Sydney area because of its consistent high quality food and great setting. Hope to even get back a second time on this trip.
